Shattering the Treaty

Prologue: 1939 and before: TR PoV

“Herr Third, the Rhineland has been rearmed. What are the orders for the soldiers if the French fire upon them?” An officer asked, saluting in respect.

“Tell them to retreat if any confrontation arises,” Third ordered, waving his hand dismissively.

“Yes, Herr Third,” the officer said before leaving. The door closed with a soft click behind him.

Finally, peace at last. Third looked at the tiny machine that was walking in circles on his desk, making notes on the design and how fluidly it moved. It was a minuscule prototype for a new type of Wayfarer, one that could practically throw flames and walk simultaneously. It was supposed to have bullet-proof glass in the viewport, something the old ones that were used in WW1 and other times before did not have. He wondered how far the Naturalists had gotten in their... abominations. Though wondering how the enemy was doing was far from normal. At least he knew Italy and Japan would join his side.

Now, what would Third do with Czechoslovakia and Austria? Probably ‘invite’ them into his country, put them under his control.. yes. He would annex their territory after bringing them under his control.

Notes: the soldiers were ordered to retreat if the French attacked the Rhineland, but the French did literally nothing. The machines were not invented in this time period though. Hitler did annex Austria and the Sudetenland and then the rest of Czechoslovakia.
