Chapter 8: 1939: JE PoV

Death, it’s so beautiful isn’t it? The shrill screams of the ‘wood’ being thrown onto a bonfire created. It was a beautiful display of mur- ahem, combustion.

“Sir, is there anything you want to have happen to the wood?” One of JE’s head officers asked, tilting his head to the side slightly.

JE thought for a moment, his light-carmine-pink-striped white cat-like tail swishing back and forth thoughtfully. “Well… what do we not know?”

The officer’s brown eyes widened slightly before he bowed slightly, “Yes of course.”

JE smiled a bit more, lifting his chin ever so slightly. “Exactly, now go ahead. I’m sure your colleagues are waiting for you to report back to them.”

The officer bowed again and then quickly walked away, leaving JE alone with the screams and shrieks of the wood being burned. But that was getting old fast. Perhaps a change in scenery would be beneficial… Maybe some seabeings being attacked… or even killed. Yes, that'd be refreshing.

Notes: Yes. The Japanese called the people they experimented on in Unit 731 “wood”, which somehow made experimenting on people okay. At least in their perspective. Sorry for it being a short chapter! Not many things happened in 1939 and I don't want to overload you guys!
