Harry woke up alone, a little bored of being alone. He placed his hand on the space behind him, finding the sheets almost cold but definitely a reminder that someone else had been with him, in this bed. He shouldn't find this normal or healthy, but since Voldemort slept with him every night, Harry had a deep, restful sleep. Because he knew that no one could harm him while the black mage was there, watching over him.
This lack of security, Harry had never believed that it harmed him and yet, now that he had proof that his sleep had always been interrupted by nightmares, waking up because of disturbing noises, he did not know what TO DO. Rolling onto his back, he examined the sky from his canopy, thinking how easy it was to let go. Except it wasn't in his nature. Harry didn't necessarily want to be against Voldemort or even against anyone. But the situation... What would become of the country if Voldemort won? What was really going to become of him, Harry Potter?
The teenager that he was sighed and grabbed his glasses from the bedside table, a simple device with which he equipped himself every morning. Yes, artifice because for his birthday, Voldemort had repaired his eyesight. The process had been quite painful, but it had been worth it. Two hours of tingling, pulsing under the watchful eyes of Sirius and the dark wizard to finally see the world with such clarity that he had cried. Even his godfather had thanked Voldemort. Reluctantly, which made him laugh, but it happened.
After a trip to the bathroom, Harry rushed towards the dining room. He greeted Sirius with a hug and froze when he saw his lawyer to whom he finally extended his hand.
-I wasn't expecting you today.
-I know it well but the next votes for the Wizengamot are coming soon. The Prime Minister demands an answer, Harry, you see I am sorry.
Richard Graves watched his client settle into his usual seat, his brows furrowed. In his opinion, the teenager should be able to spend a peaceful summer vacation and this was being denied to him for something that was not even urgent. Sirius Black also hadn't handed over his seats to anyone and the minister wasn't putting pressure on him to do so. All because Mister Potter was the Savior. Graves would like many to remember that this teenager was just fourteen years old.
-Fortunately I thought about it carefully and… I would like to discuss with him before passing on the right to him but I am thinking of Lord Greengrass.
The lawyer immediately brought up in his mind all the information he had about William Greengrass, the current head of the family who worked as a mental illness specialist at St. Mungo's. Highly respected for his research on the link between magic and the brain, it was also recognized that the Greengrass had never been supporters of Voldemort, although they were a bit darker than they were willing to admit in public. Graves nodded, quite understanding the choice of his client who certainly did not want to give more weight to Dumbledore's party when the latter had allowed him to be used without his consent.
-Yes, I think it's a pretty good choice. He is part of the neutral Wizengamot movement and I think he will rather lend a sympathetic ear to you since his heiress is your age.
-I…
Harry blushed. Graves raised an eyebrow.
-Yes ?
His other customer looked hilarious, so the godfather already knew what the youngest at the table was thinking. Richard was starting to have a vague idea but he didn't want to fish out of impulsiveness.
-I… I wouldn't want him to think that I want to marry one though… I don't… Well…
-I understand very well, yes. You don't want an arranged marriage.
Richard would have been rather surprised otherwise, everyone more or less knew the love story of James and Lily Potter. Although he thought it was heavily embellished, not something he would say to his client so as not to upset him. Besides, Mr. Black must have known more than him.
