Harry was not happy to see this man, especially after what he had just said to Thomas. Lucius knelt elegantly, not a hair was out of place on his head. It was strange, but seeing the father was still more bearable than seeing the son at this point.
-Master. You asked me.
-Indeed. I need you to go see Fudge while I'm at the Ministry myself as a diversion, as a precaution.
-Whatever you want, Milord.
Harry had somewhat forgotten that he was still under his cloak and that in fact, only Thomas knew he was there. The black mage moved away from him and circled around his Death Eater as one would circle around prey. Harry's pulse raced, anxious at the thought of what Thomas might do. He tended to forget who he was when they were alone but in this scene... No, he couldn't forget that Voldemort liked to punish his followers in cruel ways. He shivered.
-Tell me, Lucius… May I know what your son is doing with my little lion?
Lucius raised his head a little, Harry could see fear in his eyes but also incomprehension.
-I'm afraid I don't understand your question, Milord. I know that Draco often argues with Mr. Potter and I told him not to change his attitude, so as not to cause suspicion towards your… companion.
Harry found that rather logical and yes, it no longer surprised anyone that Malfoy was bothering him and throwing barbs at him. He would have preferred to have his indifference, however as the blond had always acted like this, for him to stop without warning would have surprised everyone. Harry first. Dumbledore was already watching him well enough not to let the Slytherin do anything more and if we only relied on that, Malfoy was doing things for his own good. Harry wanted to snicker...Draco Malfoy would do something for the good of Harry Potter. The irony was palpable.
-So it's not yours.
Not a question from Thomas but a statement. Lucius raised his head a little more despite himself, fear for his child made him react. Harry wouldn't want to be in his place. He dared to take a step forward, stopping when Thomas glanced at him. As if he could see him despite the invisibility cloak.
-I don't understand, Milord.
-It seems your son thinks I'm going to marry him one day.
The shock on Lucius' face... Harry was sure it couldn't be imitated. He even pitied him for learning Malfoy's plans so suddenly. If that was the son's plans because Thomas' assertion perplexed him. Was that really what the blond guy wanted? He had talked about being Voldemort's right-hand man, nothing more. And a right-hand man knew a lot about his boss, so in the end, Malfoy's knowledge made sense. Perhaps Thomas was preaching the false in order to know the truth? Probably as he urged Lucius to get back on his feet. The father still seemed unsettled by what he had just heard.
-Milord, I swear to you that I said nothing of the sort to my son.
-I believe you. As for Draco, we'll see what he wants and why. However, I advise you to investigate discreetly to find out who has so much influence over him. And I said, discreetly. I don't want him to know yet that I know about his schemes.
-…Good, Milord.
Leave now. Stay with Fudge for at least two hours.
-At your service.
Lucius apparated away and Harry felt less oppressed now that he was gone. But still so perplexed. What was going through Malfoy's head? His father really had nothing to do with it? Harry jumped slightly when Thomas placed a hand on his shoulder to lead him into a small room connected to the hall. Containing only a sort of somewhat narrow cupboard in the middle of the room and not against a wall. Harry pushed his cloak back a little and looked at Thomas.
