Chapter One

I have been friends with Ambrose for a while now. He's a famous youtuber and he wouldn't stop bugging me about going on his stream. I may not be a famous youtuber, but I am a somewhat famous author. He thought it would be nice If I joined his stream. I joined some videos he made but never went on stream with him. I agreed to go on one stream just to get him to shut up.

"Hey." I spoke as I walked into his room and looked at his laptop. There was so many people watching his stream. I don't know how he does it, but he does. I sat down in the seat next to him and looked at the game he had paused.

"I thought you weren't going to show up." Ambrose spoke as he turned to me and smiled, "You ready?" Ambrose wondered as he looked at the stream then back at me. I looked at him in wonder. What the hell are we going to do? This is my first time streaming after all. I have watched streams before, but they all have something to do with books. I don't think Ambrose is going to talk about books or writing.

"Depends, what are doing?" I asked as I looked at the stream then back at Ambrose. I waited for him to say something. He smiled and looked at the game he had paused. Are we going to play the video game? Is that all we're going to do?

"We're going to play this game together." Ambrose smiled as he looked at the stream and then back at me. Good thing I know how to play this game. If I didn't then I would embarrass myself in front of all his viewers.

"Alright." I spoke as I looked at the game and waited for Ambrose to tell me what we're doing. I know how to play the game I just don't know what Ambrose wants to do. I never played this game with him before. I played it with his best friend Archie before. He's not the best at it but he's getting better.

"Let's not let the viewers waiting." Ambrose spoke as he gave me a controller. I smiled as I choose a character. I choose a female elf. She's my favorite character out of all of them. I smiled as waited for Ambrose to choose his character.

"You're choosing the troll?" I asked as Ambrose turned to me and smiled. I have no idea why he choose the troll, but I guess he has a reason. I have no idea how strong this character is, but I guess I'll find out sooner or later.

"Yes, I think he'll do the best in this level." Ambrose spoke as he started the game. What level are we playing? Turns out we're playing level 479. One of the hardest level's in the game. 479 is a high level. It's a good thing the levels are just fighting and not the actual game. That would take forever if it were.

"You think?" I asked turning to Ambrose, "Or do you know?" I wondered as Ambrose smiled. That little cheat. He already played this level with all the characters and found the one that's the best. I mean it's not like I'm fighting him but still. He's still a cheat.

"I have played this level four times." Ambrose smiled, "I've won every time." Ambrose spoke as I turned to him once more. How rude. This is my first time playing with him and he already played it four times. How dare he. He's an asshole.

Soon we ended the stream and turned off the games. I looked at the time. It was 8:30 at night. I should get home. I already been here long enough. I sighed and stood up. I stretched and looked at my phone. I have no messages. Nothing comes up. Just my lockscreen of mine and Ambrose's face on my 21st birthday.

I remember that day. We both got really drunk. I got so drunk I threw up for three hours straight. Ambrose is better at taking in his alcohol, so he only really threw up once. I smiled at the thought. We really had a fun day that day.

***

Today is my 21st birthday. I'm turning twenty-one. I can't believe it. Me and my best friend Ambrose always thought I would die before I hit the age of sixteen. Once I made it to sixteen, we said I wasn't going to make to twenty-one. But here I am, turning twenty-one.

I sighed as I looked at the outfit I was wearing. I'm not sure if this is the type of thing you would wear to the club. I was wearing a corset type shirt. It had spikes on the top of it. I smiled as I looked at the jean skirt I was wearing. I then added on a choker and a few other necklaces. Then I added on some tights and boots. Now I'm ready to go. I smiled as I walked over to my front door and walked out.

I walked up to my car and got it. I smiled as I drove to the club. I found a parking space and locked my car. I then walked up to the club and waited in line. Once I got in, I looked around for Ambrose. He got her a few minutes before me. Now, I just need to find out where he is.

I looked around for a while more before I found him. He was sitting at this table with a drink in his hand. I smiled as I walked up to him and sat down. I noticed that he already had a drink for me. I smiled as I looked at him.

"What's this?" I asked as I looked at the drink on the table. It looks like the same drink that he has right not. Maybe it's the same drink? I don't know. I'm new to all of this. Ambrose has drank under age so many times, so he knows all the good drinks.

"It's just whisky and coke." Ambrose spoke as he looked at me. His eyes looking me up and down. I smiled as I took the drink in front of me and took a sip. It burned when it went down. I never understood why it burns when it goes down, but I guess there's a reason.

"It doesn't taste bad." I looked next to Ambrose, "Hey Archie, are you the one that's going to drive this guy home?" I asked as Archie smiled.

"I'm going to drive him home if he's drunk but, if he's not that drunk, I'll be driving you home." Archie spoke as I laughed.

"I guess so." I spoke as I took another sip of the drink in front of me. I looked around the club and smiled at the sight. It was so full of light and happy faces. At least the happy faces after drinking. This place is actually kind of dark if you look at why people come here and drink.

"Just don't get too drunk." Archie spoke as he looked at me, "Don't want you to do anything out of line or throw up on me."

"Out of both of those options I will most likely just throw up on you." I laughed as I looked at Archie. He smiled and shook his head. He's a funny guy and knows how to take and make a joke.

"Please don't." Archie spoke as he looked around. We didn't say much of anything else. We just drank and looked around the place. It was very dark in here. But it still light enough so you could walk around. Are all clubs like this? I have no idea.

A few hours when by and I was still with my friends. I was drunk and I'm sure that Ambrose was as well. Archie was the only sober one here. He has to be. He's taking us home. How is he going to take me home? I drove here. Is he just going to drive my car?

I don't know and right now I don't really care. I think I should go home. I'm not feeling so well. I should really get going. I don't think I should be here any longer. It's fun but I don't think I'll be able to drink another drink.

"I think it's time to go home." Archie spoke as he looked at me. I nodded as I looked at him. I can't keep my eyes open. I really should go home. I don't think I'll be able to walk by myself. How many drinks did I have? I lost count at four.

"Yeah, I think it is." Ambrose spoke in a deep voice. Why is his voice deeper than normal? That I don't know, and I don't think I will ever find out. I was about to ask him when Archie grabbed my arm and started to walk out of the club.

Soon we made it to my car. Archie got my keys out of my pocket, and I don't know what happened in these few moments, but they did. Ambrose leaned down until his breath danced across my lips. I looked up into his eyes. I can't explain what I saw in them, but I saw something that I normally don't see.

Ambrose leaned down until his lips touched mine. Then he kissed me at first his lips just rested on mine not doing anything. But then, then he kissed me. The kiss felt sad. Like it pained him that I wasn't going to remember this in the morning. The kiss only lasted a few seconds. He pulled away when Archie walked over to us.

"Ambrose." Archie spoke as he took my arm and sat me in the passenger seat of the car. He buckled me up and close the door so I couldn't hear, "What the hell man. We talked about this."

"I know." Ambrose looked down, "I don't know what came over me. I should get going. Drive safe."

"Ambrose," Archie started but Ambrose just shook his head.

"I need to get home. See you later." Ambrose spoke as he turned around and walked to his car.
