Chapter Four
I woke up around six in the morning. I got up and took a shower. I then got dressed and sat down at my desk. I opened up my laptop and looked at my story. I haven’t been able to write much to this story. I don’t have many ideas. But now I’m going to write some more. Hopefully, I’ll come up with something.
I sat there with my hands over the keyboard for a while now. I can’t come up with anything. My brain is empty. I sighed as I pulled out my phone and changed my lockscreen. I changed it to a photo I took last night. It was of me and my two friends. I was in the front smiling and Ambrose was behind me smiling. Archie was standing behind me as well, but he was closer to the camera than Ambrose was. Archie was smiling while holding up the peace sign.
I sighed as I put my phone down and read over my story. I have the fourth chapter started. I only have five paragraphs. The book is only about one page with six hundred words. The other chapters are about four pages and about 1,000 or more words. I don’t know why, but I can’t come up with anything for this chapter.
I sighed once more as I grabbed my phone. I need to get my mind off of this. Only for a little while. I choose to call Ambrose. I’m not sure what I’m going to say when he answers. I don’t have anything to say. I just need to get my mind off of the book for a little bit.
“Hello?” Ambrose spoke as he picked up waiting for me to tell him why I called.
“Hey,” I started as I leaned back in my chair, “Sorry, I needed to get my mind off this book for a while. I can’t come up with anything. Just wanted to talk to you for a while.” I smiled as I waited for him to answer me.
“Do you want to get something at the café by your house?” Ambrose wondered, “We could talk to get your mind off the book. Or I could give you a few ideas?”
“Sounds good, I’ll meet you there?” I asked as I stood up grabbing my shoes and putting them on.
“Yeah, see you there.” Ambrose spoke as he hung up and I grabbed my car keys. I smiled as I got in and started to drive to the café. I know I could walk there, but I don’t feel like walking right now. I just want to get there and talk to Ambrose.
I soon made it to the café. I parked my car and walked in. I looked around until I found Ambrose sitting down at a table in the back. I walked up to him with a smile. I sat down and looked at him. He smiled as he made eye contact with me. He put his phone down and looked around.
“I already ordered for you,” Ambrose spoke as he turned to me, “I hope you’re not mad.”
“What did you get me?” I asked as I looked at him. I was going to order myself so I would have to pay for it. But I guess Ambrose already paid for it.
“The blueberry donut and blackberry tea.” Ambrose spoke as he looked down, “Your two favorite fruits.” Ambrose looked at me as I smiled. I can’t believe he remembered that. I told him that forever ago. I for sure thought he would have forgotten by now.
“Those sound good.” I smiled once more, “Thank you.” I spoke as I waited for the food and drinks to be brought out.
***
I rummaged around in my closet for something to wear. I was going on a picnic with my best friend Ambrose. I have been looking for something to wear for what feels like hours. I know it hasn’t been that long but, when you’re looking for something and can’t find it. It feels like you been there for hours.
I soon found this white tank top and this black button up sweater. I smiled as I put on the two and looked around for a skirt. I soon found this black and white plaid skirt. I put it on and added on some shoes. I looked at my self for a little while before leaving.
