Rainy Day Rescue

---

Dipper stared out the window, watching as the rain poured down in sheets, drenching the forest beyond. It was the perfect weather for exploring, but Mabel was away at a sleepover, leaving Dipper alone with nothing to do. Determined to make the most of his day, Dipper grabbed his raincoat and headed out the door, ignoring the warning glances from his Grunkle Stan.

"Don't go wandering off into the forest, kid. It's pouring out there," Stan called after him, concern evident in his voice.

But Dipper waved him off with a casual smile. "Don't worry, Grunkle Stan! I'll be careful."

As Dipper ventured deeper into the forest, the rain intensified, turning the ground into a muddy mess. But Dipper pressed on, his curiosity driving him forward despite the weather.

Suddenly, he slipped on a patch of wet leaves, his foot twisting painfully beneath him as he fell to the ground. Groaning in pain, Dipper struggled to sit up, wincing as he realized he couldn't put any weight on his injured ankle.

Panic rising in his chest, Dipper reached for his phone, only to realize it was soaked through and non-functional. Trapped in the middle of the forest with no way to call for help, Dipper felt a surge of fear wash over him.

Just when he thought all hope was lost, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching through the rain. And to his relief, it was none other than Grunkle Stan, a concerned frown etched on his face.

"Dipper! What were you thinking, wandering out here in this weather?" Stan exclaimed, his tone a mixture of frustration and relief.

Dipper couldn't help but feel a wave of guilt wash over him as he explained what had happened. But Stan didn't waste any time berating him; instead, he knelt down beside Dipper and carefully examined his ankle.

"It's sprained, but nothing too serious. We'll get you patched up and back home in no time," Stan reassured him, his tone surprisingly gentle.

With Stan's help, Dipper managed to hobble back to the shack, where Stan set to work tending to his injuries. Despite his gruff exterior, Stan proved to be surprisingly adept at first aid, his hands steady as he bandaged Dipper's ankle with practiced efficiency.

As Dipper settled onto the couch, grateful for Stan's help, he couldn't help but feel a newfound sense of appreciation for his grumpy old Grunkle. Maybe they didn't always see eye to eye, but in moments like these, Dipper realized just how much Stan cared about him.

As the rain continued to drum against the windows, Dipper drifted off to sleep, feeling safe and secure in the knowledge that, no matter what, Grunkle Stan would always be there to watch over him.
