Khnum POV
Never in my life I have met a god who's sluggish, empty headed, and brainless yet at the very beginning when I met her eyes it felt surreal even though I knew she was the god of war's wife. However, it seems like she was not in her self today. The Nephthys I knew wouldn't act like an unaware and lost woman in the land.
Although, she got those wavy black hair and big green doe eyes. She had delicate fair porcelain skin that had virtually no ache and perfectly beautiful and her small lips that were colored with a soft pink. She was a god afterall, she had to be perfect because she is perfect. But, today seems unusual.
I tried capturing her lies, she was easy to get, like a prey.
I asked who she was and why was she in Nephythys body but she remained silent not knowing my water could kill her if I have too. But ofcourse, I wouldn't because she was inside the body of Isis's sister. I could never be unloyal to Isis.
She was talking nonsense and I couldn't fathom any of her sayings. The most unimaginable thing that have happened is when I felt something in my stomach, it is hunger? No, I am a god. I can resist and not eat for whole months. It was different of what I was feeling and I knew that I wouldn't like it.
Weeks have passed and we became closed, I always approach her every morning and noon. At dawn, the river is high tide. It was the work of the god of moon. I searched the sources not sleeping just to find out what kind of god would put this silly tricks on Nephthys.
There's two that have emerged from this concept of mine. The former is either the god of magic or sun god or the latter, the unknown magic. At the beginning, I didn't wanted her to leave but I just knew she had too. She had her own reason and at the end of the day, she would pick her husband and not the god of nile such myself.
[PRESENT DAY]
Hana's pov
"Are you alright?" asked by my co-nurse.
"Sorry, I just remembered something in my mind" I replied awkwardly. She really look concerned with those eyes and I couldn't get this work done by myself this early. My shift isn't even half way over yet. I just want this day to end badly.
I have to go home and tell my friends that I saw him! But, would they even believe? Was I just delusional? Did I really saw him infront of me? Shit. Shit. Shit!
"My head hurts from thinking, ugh!" I gasped hardly.
"Are you really okay? How about you go home early today and I'll finish your work for you." She smiled offering me such free time. To be fair, both of us got those eyebags and I don't like people doing my work even it means helping me. I'm just that independent? Or stubborn..
"It's okay. I got this, I'm almost finish so don't worry about it." I smiled ensuring her my false lies. I still got loads of work but I kept thinking about this guy!
Focus Hana! What a delusional person you are. It might just have been a glitch, I probably saw the wrong person. Yeah! Wrong, incorrect, untrue, uncertain!
"To be honest, when you came back from the office you look like you've seen a ghost. And, It's been bothering me ever sinced! Also, I heard that the C.I needed three nurses to go with the doctors next monday." she added.
"What? What for?" I asked confusingly. Surely, the doctors are in no needs for nurses. They already got three doctors anyway.
"It is something to do with donation or charity to the children I think" she said while looking at the schedule.
"When will the C.I choose their nurses?" I asked getting so much attention to the huge updates.
"Woah, now you are interested, huh? Well, by sunday there will be name drops. That's what they told us but don't tell anyone yet about this information because I heard one of the doctor wants one nurse in our department! Oh my gosh! I hope it's me!" She high hope with such excitement.
