'what are those?'

my father just walked in my room dropping a box that i have no idea what has inside of it

'you wanted to know about your mother, here you can learn about her' my eyes went wide

'wha-what's this?'

'a box with a few of her stuff that i've kept over the years. when we had that conversation last week i figured that you may want this.'

i was in pure shock, what drug has gotten into him and he acts so kind? he's been calm around me and doesn't force me to do stuff i don't want anymore

dare i say he's been nice.

without saying anything else he left peacefully and left the box at my bed, i rushed to it, my hands trembling from the anxiety

opening this box means that i get to feel my mom after so many years, i get to connect with her again

slowly opening it i came face to face with a bunch of paper stuff, that look old and are a bit crinkled too.

i touched one with hesitation and opened an envelope carefully, apparently it has inside a bunch of photos, from my father and her

before i was even born, them at a ferris wheel, another of them at a random wedding, a few were from the office when they used to lead the company together, one is from paris, the city they fell in love to

i never learned how they actually met and the whole story behind their romance, all i knew is that i got the name from the city because there they met and fell for each other

i also found a few posters in the box, with galaxies, typical thing from my mom, i found a picture from aurora borealis too, she once told me that her and my dad rushed through the whole city to find the perfect spot to finally see it, and they did. she also was pregnant with me at the time and she strongly believed that this was all my beauty up in the sky.

i giggled remembering this.

i went through a few snowballs too, and a whole diary, i really questioned myself if i wanna go through it, but then again, i may never have access to this box after today so i should probably make it worth

the first few pages of the diary were her talking about her life generally, about her parents and friends

the interesting part came up after a few pages, where she's talking about a mysterious boy she met at her trip in paris
