"Tomorrow, we are going to a prisoner exchange with the Alpha of the Crescent moon pack. We will be exchanging our prisoner, his beta for our three warriors." Tobias says with a smirk. He doesn't deserve the title of being my uncle, so I decided I'm going to drop. With Addilyn also.

"Well so they think it's an exchange at least." at this everyone goes quiet and looks at each other with a million questions going through their heads hell even I have a question, why do I have to be here? "We are going to meet this pack on neutral grounds, and I am going to kill their beta in front of them and then kill their entire pack."

Well fuck, this is going to be shit show, I can already feel it. Everyone around me is silent for a whole minute before they all start screaming out questions not even giving him time to answer.

"Are you trying to get us all killed" I mean he has a good point; this is the second strongest pack besides the Alpha King pack.

"What about the warriors" Meh, this sleaze ball was probably going to kill them anyways when he got them back so no surprise, he didn't mention their possible outcome.

"What if the Alpha King is called to attend" That is a possibility him or one of his advisors and some of their warriors have been called upon to watch a fight between two packs to make sure it is all done fairly. And to act as a witness for the incident to put it down in the history books for those involved.

"Fuck this I'm not going anywhere near this pack" Ahh my favorite one yelled so far. Whoever yelled that acts like Tobias is going to give us an option of going or not.

Quick little back story to straighten some things out for everyone, Tobias is only the leader of this shit show also known as the Broken Fang pack because it is a bunch of Rogues with nowhere else to go or because he has their mate and family members and is using them as a pawn in his schemes and if they try getting their family back he kills them in front of them like it's some sick kind of game to him. Trust, I have seen him do it a couple times in front me, doesn't matter if they are kids or not blood is blood when it is flowing from someone's throat. With this pack it is not a known pack, meaning that everyone here is rogues because the Alpha King hasn't recognized it as a legitimate pack and until that happens everyone here is a rogue. But this pack is made up of two different kinds of species, werewolves and vampires.

"QUIET!" He yells, great they made him mad. Now I'm definitely going to get it later. If you haven't figured it out yet I'm basically his personal punching bag for when someone gets upset.

"This is not up for discussion; we are going to this exchange. The Alpha King nor his men will be there they will be defending their lands because they are going to have a couple guests that are going to distract them, so they won't be able to leave. Now you all will be there if you know what is good for you. Now leave my sight, we leave tomorrow night at 2100 hours don't be late."

And with that he just turns and leave, it's now the first time we have wiped out a pack before. Usually, they are the smaller ones that are maybe 100 members max so it's easy work for. And any survivors he forces them to join and to do his bidding as well. By now we all know what our job is and if they don't, they can ask the head warrior and his annoying ass beta. Beta Paulson, man that guy can go jump off a cliff into a lake full of crocodiles and I would not blame the crocodiles if they don't eat his rotting fungus smelling ass. Might be a little disappointed though.

With that depressing thought I am off to do my part of preparations, which is making sure no one tries to ditch this suicide mission and help watch the border till midnight when the next guy comes to replace me. Walking out of the meeting I go to the kitchen to grab a couple pop tarts and some brownies that were made last night. Glad to see no one is in the kitchen so I can hurry and eat my food in peace, looking at the clock its barely 0800, damn he kept us in there for over three hours. Today is going to be a long day.

Going outside I shift into my wolf and start smelling the air, making sure nothing smells off.  Everything smells normal to me. "WHAT ARE YOU SERIOUS" Winter yells making me flinch. "Owww" I said out loud making my wolf laugh shyly. "How do you not smell the Elk a mile to the east of us or even the rabbits to the south of us" Winter said excitedly. "We have work to do Winter, if something happens to be in front of us then maybe we can discuss it" I thought making her grumble.

After a few hours it was finally 2300 hours, and I was ready for food and sleep. Even with going out of our way for the elk and a couple rabbits all that running made us work up another appetite. So, when Bentley and Henry, the warriors replacing me for the rest of the night finally showed up I was pretty excited for my next mission of food and sleep. I was also kind of glad that I got to patrol by myself and not get stuck with someone else who couldn't keep up with and would just slow me down.

Slowly walking back in wolf form, I could hear Winter sleeping in the back of my mind sleep talking and breathing hard. It was a long day for both of us. Seeing the front of the packhouse was a relief I quickly went behind a tree and shifted and hurried inside. I need Food and lots of it. Going straight into the kitchen I see the pack whores, Brittany or whatever her name is, and her annoying minions were glaring at me right when I walked in.

"What are you doing here, don't you have something to do" Brittany said in her high-pitched voice. Flipping her back while her minions just chuckle.

"Don't you have someone to go spread your legs for?" I said without missing a beat. Earning a growl from her and getting Winters attention. Winter letting out her own warning growl in return making me chuckle when she turns and stomps out of the kitchen without saying anything and her minions following.

"Hmm that's the fastest she has ever left, I'm kind of surprised" I thought to myself. "Usually, she has to get the last word in, that was weird" Winter said. "Agreed" I thought but anyways food. Walking over to the fridge there was leftover pasta and garlic bread. After warming that up and eating I headed upstairs to my room, feeling way too tired to function.

Swinging my door open first thing I notice is my bed, calling my name looking so seductive after a long day of running in circles. Literally. But first, I head into the bathroom and take a quick shower and get dressed for bed braiding my hair, so I don't wake up with it trying to choke me out again. Trust me it has happened a time or two not the greatest feeling to wake up too.

Looking down I'm already regretting my attire, where did I get the crazy the idea to wear sweatpants to bed, do I really want to torture myself and sweat my ass off all night. "Hmm yeah no." Quickly stripping off my pants and putting on some black cotton shorts much better. On my way to my bed, I pass my mirror just outside the bathroom door, taking a quick glance I realize yet again I didn't put a shirt on. "Ugh, why does this always happen to me!" Grabbing my hoodie off a chair I just put that on I'll just turn on the fan above my bed and crack the window for some airflow.

Finally crawling into bed, getting under my covers, and getting comfy I realized I left the light on. Oh well, I shall just throw the blanket over my head and call it night. Now feeling wide awake, I notice this weird feeling in my stomach, and I can't place the feeling. "It'll all make sense soon enough" Winter said. Creepy. "Care to explain" I thought back. "No, now leave me alone" Winter said blocking me. Well, that wasn't very nice of her but oh well that's winter for you. Rolling over onto my stomach I feel my eyelids getting too heavy to leave open, the darkness consuming me.
