Mrs. O'Leary scared the crap out of Theo when he first saw her in the Amphitheater. Quintus forgot to mention he kept his pet Hellhound in the arena when they went there for practice one day. Theo's first instinct was to hide and get his bow ready, but Quintus grabbed his wrist and dragged him straight to Mrs. O'Leary. He honestly thought he was going to die, but instead of pouncing on him and eating him in one giant bite, Mrs. O'Leary pounced on him and starting licking him. By the second lick he was covered in dog slobber.

Quintus managed to push her off of him, but by that point Theo was frozen in shock. He should have known better than to be surprised, after all he was a demigod. But a Hellhound inside camp, the safest place on earth for a demigod? That's where he drew the line. Quintus had to throw water on him before he came back to his senses.

Fast forward a few months, him and Mrs. O'Leary were great friends. Every day he visited the Amphitheater to play with her. A giant Hellhound and the son of Apollo, now that was a weird duo in the eyes of everyone at camp. He would hear whispers about how he might be plotting to kill everyone at camp with the help of Mrs. O'Leary. Yes, very silly indeed, but could Theo really blame them? He was really good friends with Luke before his betrayal for crying out loud. Everyone at camp figured he would follow in his foot steps, just like a good best friend would do. Although, Luke wasn't your average best friend.

When Theo arrived at camp, Luke was the first to greet him. They bonded over almost anything under the sun, running around camp acting like hooligans. Luke was also the first one to teach him some of his best sword tricks. Theo still preferred his bow and arrow, but having some sword training was helpful.

The day of Luke's betrayal was probably the worst day of his life, if he were being honest. Percy came back from the woods half dead with a bad scorpion sting. The poison would have killed him if it weren't for Chiron. When Percy did eventually wake up, he told Chiron and Annabeth the whole story. Luke wanted Percy to join him and Kronos to take Olympus, and when Percy refused, Luke threatened him. He gave Percy one last chance, and Percy still refused, so he let the scorpion loose, almost killing Percy. Chiron was the one to break the news to him, and Theo had not taken it well. Theo wouldn't eat for a few weeks after that, until Will and Annabeth forced some food down his throat. Theo couldn't believe it, yet he also wasn't very surprised. Luke had been different after his quest, he practically hated the gods and wouldn't let anyone talk about Hermes in front of him.

It was Theo who had to take all the backlash from his betrayal. The other campers stopped trusting him and avoided him at all costs. Even the Satyrs stopped helping him, and that led the nymphs and other woodland creatures to avoid him too. But, Theo didn't let that get his spirits down, he still had Annabeth, Grover, and Will after all. That's all he ever really needed.

When the Summer Campers came back, so did Percy Jackson. Theo would be lying if he said he never looked at Percy Jackson and thought he was hot. When Percy came to camp, he was too afraid to talk to him and after years he still hasn't summoned the courage. All of the summer campers came that Friday, but Percy took a little longer to get there, so meanwhile Theo kept attempting to find some way to talk to him. Luckily, he didn't really have to pull out his super horrible plan.

Theo had been extremely busy with camp chores. Mucking the stables, cleaning his cabin to pass inspection, kitchen duty, etc. It was long, boring work and half the time Theo spaced out and let his hands fly in autopilot. He hadn't gotten to see Mrs. O'Leary in what felt like years due to all his extra work.

Luckily, he managed to escape one day by bribing one of his siblings into kitchen duty. He was happy to report that he went straight to Mrs. O'Leary. Right when he entered the Amphitheatre she pounced on him. Soaking him in dog slobber in the second lick, as usual. Although when Percy Jackson entered the theater it must have looked like she was killing him.
