The next morning we hiked down to the cattle guard and said our good-byes. It was mostly silent besides the sound of our feet hitting the dirt below us. Theo tried really hard not to think too much about last night, afraid he'd burst into blinding tears. He was also trying to avoid conversation with Percy, he didn't want him to bug him about it.
"Nico you could come with us," Percy blurted.
Nico shook his head. Just like Theo, Nico looked like he was just hit by a bus, maybe worse. His eyes were red and his face chalky. He was wrapped in a black robe that definitely belonged to Geryon because it was three sizes too big even for an adult.
"I need time to think." He wouldn't meet Percy's eyes, his tone seemed to be cold and angry. It was probably due to the fact that Bianca came out for Percy and not him. Theo could see why Nico was angry, though. If it were his sister he'd be pretty enraged as well.
"Nico," Annabeth said. "Bianca just wants you to be okay."
She set her hand on his shoulder, but Nico pulled away almost instantly. He turned around and walked back up to the ranch house without another word.
"I'm worried about him," Annabeth confessed. "If he starts talking to Minos's ghost again-"
"He'll be alright," Eurytion said, stopping her from voicing her thoughts. The cowherd had obviously spent time cleaning himself up. He was wearing new jeans, a clean Western shirt, and Geryon's boots. Eurytion even trimmed his beard. "The boy can stay here and gather his thoughts as long as he wants. He'll be safe. I promise."
"What about you?" Percy asked.
Eurytion scratched Orthus behind one chin, then moved on to the other. "Things are going to be run a little different on this ranch from now on. No more sacred cattle meat. I'm thinking about soybean patties. . ."
Theo couldn't help but move his gaze over to the ranch, then the bright yellow septic tank, then back over to Percy. He decided he would never take anyone for granted ever again because you never know when you'll lose them. Whether Theo liked it or not, Percy was now extremely special to him. He hated the idea of only ever seeing him again in the Underworld, that is if he got into Elysium. He knew for sure Percy would make it there easily, after all he prevented a godly war just a few years ago and he saved Camp Half-Blood from closing. But, what had Theo done?
Percy seemed to feel his eyes on him, so he looked over at Theo, making him snap out of his thoughts. Theo looked away quickly and tuned into Annabeth's conversation with Eurytion.
"But how do we find Hephaestus?"

AUTHOR'S NOTE (please read until the end!)
heyyy... yeah sorry this is all I got for you. I've been suuuper busy with Highschool lately. In all honesty, I don't think I've opened Wattpad in at least 2-3 months. I was ecstatic to see all the love you all put into this story, though. I mean, almost 2k readers?! Unfortunately, I will not be continuing this. But! Good news is: I'm happy to share this story with someone else to continue! If you are interested in "adopting" this story you can DM me :D
If you adopt this story:
- You can edit anything I've written so far (but not change it completely)
-You must give me some credit
-Please show me an example of you're writing style when you DM me
Also, I was considering doing content with PJO (Percy Jackson), MHA (My Hero Academia), IT, HP (Harry Potter), and some more fandoms. If I do, I won't be doing stories because I obviously don't have the time for them. I will only be doing One-Shot (I will take suggestions as well). Although, I will not be doing anything containing: Smut, Ships I don't like (otherwise It won't be written as well), R_pe, etc.
Tell me what you think! :)
Lots of love! -Ally (She/her) <3
