|Miyuki POV|

Teiko Middleschool.

The best middleschool around. Our father just had to get us in.

It was always the best for oniisan and I always had to go with it.

.

Vice captain of the basketball team on his first year? He should have been captain right away.

"Why don't you come and watch us win the game later?" He asked me with a smile at the corner of his lips as we were being drove to school.

"Should I watch the inevitable?" I smiled, "you never lose."

"Just watch how far apart the scores will be. See how smooth my strategy will work out." He replied.

Who was I to say no? He was absolute.

.

A year older than me, yet we were in the same grade level.

My brother had it made, though the training to get it was very tough. He was the heir of the Akashi family's corporation. He was trained to be the best at everything. He knew no such thing as defeat. We were taught that, in life, the Akashis never lose.

I on the other hand was paid no special attention to. I was nothing compared to how they saw my brother.

I had to work hard on my own so I won't lose to anyone as well. But my best efforts are still not recognized.

So to hell with it.

I'll just do what I want
-but I still won't lose.

I walked gracefully down the pathway to the gym with my hair flowing like how it was supposed to. My skirt danced just slightly above my knees.

Classes were already finished and the game my brother mentioned earlier was about to begin in a few.

I scanned the gymnasium for my brother who already caught sight of me before I did. We nodded at each other and then I proceeded to finding a seat.

Without any thoughts, I sat down, prim and proper, and waited for it to start.

The opposing team was irrelevant to me. Instead, i looked at Teiko's team.

My brother, and his teammates were so amazing that they were called Generation of Miracles.
My brother was the only miracle the way I see it.

A green haired boy with a small bamboo plant in hand stood beside my brother. Next to him was a yellow haired boy, whom i knew, Kise, a model, was warming up. Sitting in front of them was a tanned guy, who seemed to be not in a good mood, and lastly, another boy with purple hair sitting down, eating, I think.

Then the whistle blew. I was quite surprised when the lavander headed boy stood up. He was about two heads taller than my brother. It was quite peculiar to see someone so tall. Was he really a middle school student?

.

I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He was so huge that he efficiently blocked every shot the opposing team made.

As expected, Teiko took the lead. 92-37

My brother didn't even seem to be sweating at all.

Seeing the results, I left.

During dinner, "What were the names of your teammates again, niisan?" I asked out of curiosity.

"The ones who played?"

"Yes."

"There was Midorima, Kise, Aomine, and Murasakibara."

"Which one was the tall one?"

"Murasakibara. Why?"

"Nothing. He's just so tall."

I guess i couldn't stop thinking about the game and how tall Murasakibara was.

.

Coincidentally, the next week, before class started with Mrs. Watanabe asking us for our assignments, someone walked in the door.

"Ano... I was moved to this class.." Was all he said in the laziest manner he was obviously capable of.

He was a big lunk with his eyes half open and his face almost in a frown. Honestly, did this boy just wake up? Now he has got me thinking if he's really my brother's teammate.

"Hmm, 'moved for outstanding performance' I see." Mrs. Watanabe smiled reluctantly at him, "well then have a seat." She said.

He should sit at the back because he's so big. And because he'll probably just sleep or daze anyway. I must give him credit for his class promotion even if he doesn't like it. It must have been pure luck.

I turned my head as I followed him to where he would sit. Then, he caught me looking at him with the same, dull yet grim stare.

I ignored him until recess came. I walked up to him to start a conversation maybe.

He seemed to be asleep.

I sat in front of him and waited for him to wake up. He must have noticed my presence, he raised his head to look at me right away.

He stared for quite a while and I too stared.

Then he opened his mouth, "Ano.. You look like someone I know.." He said, still with his eyes on me.

"Yes. You must be referring to my brother, Seijuro."

"Oh yeah.. You look like Aka-chin..." He smiled a bit, "are you his twin?"

"No. I'm not. I'm a year younger." I replied.

"So what's your name? I can't call you aka-chin too. I'll get confused.." He breathed.

"Akashi Miyuki."

"I'm Mu-"

"Murasakibara." I nodded.

". . . Atsushi." He said his first name.
