I woke up this morning getting a whole 3 hours of sleep and already dreading the day. Today at 7:00 pm I will be waiting in the alleyway for Violette when she does her night patrol.
I have to remind myself this is all for my brother and at the end of the day I needed to keep him safe.
I drove over to Adam's to get my mind off things.
"Hey, I got a new basketball, want to play?"
"Sure" I said forcing a smile on my face
"You suck" Adam said while shooting another hoop
"You are the one that wanted to play"
"Yeah, but I didn't know you sucked"
"Whatever, you win"
"Want lunch?"
"Sure, did your mom make pasta?" I hoped she did her pasta is the best
"Yeah"
I rushed through the door with Adam following me
"Wait up man"
I waited for him to open the fridge and get the pasta out
"Here you go" Adam handed me a big bowl of pasta
"Tell your mom that I am free to come over for dinner any day pasta is on the table"
"Sure dude"
Me and Adam finished up and played video games for the rest of the day taking us to 6:30
"My mom says dinner is ready, do you want to stay?"
"I actually have to get going but next time I come over I will beat you at basketball"
"In your dreams" Adam said as I walked to my car
I got to my house and changed into a black hoodie with the Cattivo sign on it and a pair of black jeans
I walked to the alleyway waiting to see a purple light. I hoped she would be able to see the logo on the back of the hoodie.
I waited there for at least 10 minutes when I heard someone's voice and turned around
"I have never seen you before" Violette said leaning against the wall
"I am new" I really wish I could leave right about now
"Nice I get to deal with a newbie. You know it's never too late to go home before I beat your ass"
"Wow you know have to use adult words, good for you, but I could suggest the same thing" I said while smiling
"You're new to this aren't you? Normally the fight gets going already but don't worry take your time let me know if I need to teach you how to throw a punch"
"I'll take you up on that offer sometime but unfortunately, I don't have all the time for you gorgeous so let me make this easy"
I saw her abilities stop working when the purple glow from her hands went off, so I took that to my advantage.
I 'teleported' behind her and tide her hands to the pole
"First of all, do not call me gorgeous and second of all let me go, I prefer you throw a punch then be left here all night"
"You are welcome by the way; this could be worst"
"Let me go!"
"Sorry no can do, see you around gorgeous"
"Stop calling me that"
"Ok gorgeous"
It was fun watching her get irritated by the name, but I loved it, you could tell she was very pretty even with the mask on covering her eyes.
"So, you can teleport" I heard her say as I was about to leave
"No, I am a magician in disguise"
"Smartass"
"See you around adult mouth"
I said while walking back to the compound

I got back to the compound, and everyone was glaring at me. I was told to go to the Bosses office

I knocked on the door expecting the worse
"COME IN AND CLOSE THE DOOR"
"I told you to give her a scare not leave her there just tied up"
"Sir in my defense I thought that would be a scare itself"
"Listen to me I will not be taken as a fool, next time I will feel free to give your brother a visit, understood"
"Yes Sir"
