Summary: The drama club is finally holding the auditions. Maddox is still thinking through EJ's offer while Jet constantly try to suppress his interest in his theater friends' passion for music.

Notes: This chapter gives a few hints about what happened to Maddox and Jet's relationship.

Today marks the day of the audition for the Wildcats. Since the first day, Jet had been hanging out with Ricky and Big Red during his breaks while Maddox occasionally went together with Nini and Kourtney.

Maddox had been thinking about EJ's offer for more than 24 hours but she still had some doubts. Being a stage manager is not new for her but the idea of being near the stage again and around some theater kids that loves music makes her sick in her stomach, especially after what happened a year ago with her brother.

And Jet on the other hand keeps on brushing off Ricky whenever the latter invites him to join the drama club or even when he tries to convince him to sing with him.

"I'm going to be home late so you should take the car key. I'm just going to take the bus," Maddox said as they pulled over to the parking lot at East High. "What? Where are you going?" Jet questioned removing his seatbelt.

Maddox rolled her eyes before she replied, "EJ asked me to stage manage their play, but I still haven't agreed with it which is why he invited me to observe their audition today." "Oh. So, you're doing music again?" Jet asked, smiling.

"I'm not!" Maddox yelled not looking at her brother's face that instantly frowned. "I might just stage-manage their show but I'm never going to play again," Maddox added before getting out of the car. "But you love singing," Jet tried to argue. Maddox sarcastically laughed and muttered, "Not anymore. And you know exactly why."

Maddox begins to walk away after throwing the car key to Jet. Jet catches it with a groan and then lightly nudges his forehead to their car not noticing someone looking over them.

Maddox walked through the halls of East High with a frown and her eyes fixated on the floor. She didn't notice that she was about to bump into some students until it happened.

"Eyes up, Gadget," EJ remarked when the shorter girl bumped into them. Maddox flinched, accidentally letting her bag and other things fall onto the ground. "Oh, my God! I'm so sorry. Are you alright?" Ashlyn uttered as she immediately helped Maddox pick up her stuff.

"No. I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking at where I was going," Maddox replied, before standing up with her stuff. "It's fine," Ashlyn answered. "You okay, Gadget?" EJ asked, noticing how Maddox seems to be on edge.

Before Maddox could answer, Ashlyn questioned them, "Gadget? I thought your name was Maddox?" Maddox and EJ stared for a second before laughing. "It is. Gadget is my camp nickname," Maddox explained. "That's adorable," Ashlyn commented, not noticing the way Maddox blushed.

"Not really. By the way sorry for bumping into you Ashlyn," Maddox said. "You seemed a little pale," EJ muttered, examining Maddox's expression. "It's nothing. I should really go to class," Maddox uttered in an attempt to escape.

"You are going to auditions later, right?!" EJ shouted when Maddox walked past them. "Wouldn't miss it!" Maddox yelled back.

"She's auditioning for the show?" Ashlyn bluntly asked when Maddox was nowhere in sight. "No. but I'm trying to scout her," EJ answered as they began to walk down the halls. "You are scouting her?" Ashlyn clarifies. EJ laughed before nodding.
