Part 10

"Cam! If you don't give me that damn console, I swear I will tear you apart." Becky widened her eyes, struggling to reach the game console in Cam's hand. Cam chuckled.

"As an actress, you're short."

"Asshole." They were fighting over who would finish the game. It was supposed to be Becky's turn, but then Cam snatched the console right out of her grasp. That's how they ended up in this situation.

It was Sunday, and they were chilling at Becky's apartment. As usual, Lisa and Sophie (their friends) would do the cooking while Becky set up the TV to watch a movie later. Cam, as it was his routine, would follow Becky and mess with her.

While they waited for the food to be ready, Becky turned on her Xbox, which resulted in an intense battle to win whatever game they had.

The two of them hated losing, so they set a rule: the one who loses has to do something the winner wants.

So far, Becky always won. Cam always let her."Let me finish it, Bec."

"I won the last round, so it should be me who will end this freaking game."

"Not this time, honey." As Cam tried to press the game console, Becky used her tactic. She pushed Cam, making him fall onto the couch. Becky fell on him as he pulled her hand, but she didn't care; all she cared about was the damn console.

Cam was shocked and couldn't react. He let Becky take the console. Becky sat up and pressed the console, winning the game."Yes!" Becky cheered, raising both hands in the air. Cam was still in that position, frozen.

"I told you I would win." Cam came to his senses as he snorted.

"You cheated." He said slowly.

Then Becky's phone rang. Cam looked at her screen, seeing it was "Babe". His face changed. He was jealous.

"Hello, Pfreen," Becky answered cheerfully, making Cam feel more uncomfortable."Hi, Becbec. Are you busy? Am I interrupting you?"

"No, no, no, you're not interrupting. I was just playing games with my friend." She then stood up and walked to her room. Cam watched Becky walk until she completely disappeared into her room. He felt like his heart was hurting.

'When will she talk to me sweetly like that?'

'I know that she has someone, but why won't my heart cooperate with me? Wake up, Cam.'

"Don't make that face." Cam startled. He didn't know Lisa was standing behind him. He groaned."What face?"

"Like someone kicked your stupid ass." He rolled his eyes

"Stop feeling things you shouldn't have."

"Stop trying to get her to like you when you know exactly how it may end."

"Lisa, you talk like you fucking know what's inside my head."

"I've known you for almost 5 years. I know exactly what you're thinking."

"I don't want to see you both getting hurt. Becky has someone, and she's made that clear to you. Please, don't let your feelings jeopardize your friendship with her. It's not worth risking what you have for something that may not even work out."Cam clenched his jaw.

"This is my life, and I'll handle it my way."

"Stubborn," Lisa muttered under her breath, seeing the determination in Cam's eyes.

"Food's ready. Cam, help me set up the table," Sophie called as she heard the conversation, not wanting them to fight today.

Cam stood up without saying anything to Lisa and made his way to the kitchen. Lisa sighed.They ate at the dining table silently.
