Hiding in the corner of a city, smirks appeared on the lips of two people. No one in the city had noticed their presence. Even Sabrina was oblivious.

The two had quite ordinary faces. If someone saw them, they would most likely forget how they looked and would only recall some distinct features that were difficult to forget but couldn't be used to identify them if they decided to put up a disguise.

The male had fiery red hair which flowed along the air, making it seem like his head had been lit on fire! His eyes had a reddish tinge to them as well. He stood at 6 feet high and had a well-toned body.

The female had long green hair which went down to her waist. She had greenish eyes and a tanned face. She was quite slim, but her body showed some muscles as well, giving her an athletic look.

If Lance saw either of them, he would have immediately attacked and captured them as they were two of the four leaders of Team Wraith! Both were Trainers at the Elite Four level!

Galea said, “It finally begins!”
Vulcan nodded and said, “Yes, the 3 groups with Pseudo Champion Pokemons are making a move. Now is the critical time for Saffron City.”

Galea was a bit excited. However, she sighed and said, “The Saffron City's defence is as good as its reputation. More than 2 million Pokemons from the Tide have died, but less than 500 Pokemon Trainers have been killed. They have done such good work that we had no chance of making any move so far!”

Vulcan replied, “That was expected. Boss never expected the Saffron City to crumble under such a small Tide. It was just an experiment that might allow us to cause larger Pokemon Tides in the future.

The Tide would have been six times larger for Saffron City to feel some danger and issue Blood Alert and call for reinforcements from the League. In order to force a Purple Alert, the Tide will need to be around 100 million Pokemon strong and would need to be led by several dozen Champion tier Pokemons to combat the reinforcements that the League and other cities would send.

Also, don't have too high hopes on achieving our mission. Look…”

Galea turned her attention towards Solar Beams that were headed towards the city. The Psychic Trainers on Eliza's front instructed their Pokemons to use Light Screen in the paths of the Solar Beams closest to them.

At the same time, Psychic Pokemons from Sabrina and Eliza's main teams used Psychic on the incoming Solar Beams and tried to change their directions towards the sky so that they wouldn't hit the city. However, it wasn't easy due to the power and speed of the attack.

Several thousand Light Screens appeared in the paths of the Solar Beams. The Solar Beams easily destroyed the Light Screens and moved towards the city. However, the Light Screens reduced their power slightly and slowed them down.

The fractions of a second the Light Screens bought was enough for the other Trainers to carry out Eliza's orders. They brought out their Pokemons who could use Hyper Beam and shot it straight at the Solar Beams in the skies.

Explosions happened whenever Hyper Beams hit the Solar Beams, but the power of the combined Solar Beam of thousands of Exeggutors was still much higher. Even though they were weakened, they continued moving through and reached the barrier!

On top of the Saffron Gym, a clown-like Pokemon with large eyes looked at the incoming Solar Beams with a serious expression and said, ‘Provide all your energy to the barrier!’

Behind Mr. Mime were a couple of hundred Psychic Pokemons, with a dozen being at the Elite level. The Elite Pokemons were from Sabrina's second team while the weaker ones were from the instructors in the Gym.

Hearing Mr. Mime's command, every Pokemon inserted their energy into the barrier around the city. The barrier finally became visible enough for even a normal person to be able to see it.

All the while, Sabrina and Eliza's Psychic Pokemons were attempting to divert the direction of the incoming Solar Beams. They succeeded in diverting 3 Solar Beams towards the sky, missing the barrier. Another Solar Beam was diverted slightly. It grazed the barrier while moving towards the skies, causing several cracks to appear along its path.

The remaining 5 Solar Beams hit the Barrier! The massive explosion was heard throughout the city, the sound waves shattering numerous windows throughout the city. Even the door Orion was watching through cracked, but fortunately, it didn't shatter. Rhydon stood in front of Orion, ready to use Protect in the blink of an eye while Kadabra covered the three with Psychic energy. He was ready to teleport them if the barrier collapsed.

All the Trainers as well as Orion watched nervously to see whether the barrier would stay strong. Orion's eyes glowed with Psychic energy as he tried to observe the damage to the barrier.

He observed, ‘Damn! Cracks have developed in the barrier! It almost feels like it'll shatter! Shit, the damage to the city will be nuts if that happens! Why did this have to happen just before my journey began?’

Similar thoughts ran through the minds of most of the other Psychics. Fortunately, the barrier was overlooked by Mr. Mime from Sabrina's main team! Orion immediately sensed a large aura from the top of the Gym.

He looked up and muttered to himself in horror, ‘What the fuck? How freaking strong is the Pokemon overlooking the barrier? Why does it feel like this Pokemon can crush all of Cedric's Elite Pokemons single-handedly with extreme ease?’

It was Orion's first time sensing such a strong Pokemon. He wasn't wrong to feel so, as Mr. Mime controlling the barrier was Sabrina's second-strongest Pokemon! At level 78, he was just a couple of levels away from the Champion tier!

A large amount of Psychic energy appeared around Mr. Mime as he infused it rapidly into the barrier. Closer to the frontline, Sabrina instructed her Psychic Pokemons to help out Mr. Mime as well.

As a result, the barrier barely managed to hold on! The Solar Beams finally ran out of power and disappeared. The barrier was covered in large cracks but fortunately wasn't pierced through. Mr. Mime immediately infused more energy into the barrier and fixed all the cracks, making the barrier look as good as new!

Galea sucked a cold breath as she exclaimed, “They defended against that? Without any chaos inside the city, making a move will be much riskier!”

Vulcan sighed and said, “Told you not to underestimate Saffron City. Even though it is our main target, the city can comfortably resist Team Wraith even if we go all out. It is why Boss always refuses your recommendations of launching a sudden attack on the city.”

Galea nodded and said, “I admit that I underestimated Sabrina. However, we can still make a move. Since the Exeggutors have made a move, the other two groups will make a move as well. Sabrina will be forced to deal with them. And her Mr. Mime is tired as well. Even though there is risk, this is our perfect opportunity!”
