That Country Life: Hayden's Story

Family

I woke up the next day, I was called downstairs by my Dad, when I got downstairs, kole was in a nice outfit, so were my parents. My mom then said,"Hayden, you have to get dressed. We are going to a family reunion."

I nodded and walked back up the stairs, I put on a white shirt, light blue boot, cut jeans, and a brown belt with a silver belt buckle. I made sure to take my phone before I walked downstairs. I made it downstairs, and my mom said,"That is a nice outfit. Now we must hurry."

When I got in my dad's truck, we went for a long trip to have a family reunion, which u think this is what Gaige was talking about. I was happy that I could meet more people in my family, the last family reunion I was quite young. After a bit, I got a text form, Grayson.

G-hey Hay, where are u

H-i have to go to a family reunion

G-dam, really, I wanted to hang out

H-same, I got things to tell u

G-really wish you could tell me

H-ya, but it is best if I tell u, but it will be better if I trade you in person

G-ok... but make sure you tell me Hay

H-don't worry, Gray, I will

G-good

H-ya well I have to go and be productive, in the conversation with my family now

G-okay bye

H-bye

When I put my phone way and saw that Kole and my parents were having a full conversation, like I wasn't here. When I tried to cut in and talk, I was shot down every time.

When we finally got to the reunion, I followed my parents and Kole as they walked up to our family. I saw Gaige and Auntie, Rudy , or Gaige's mom. We went and sat at the same table as them.

I sat next to Gaige, Auntie was talking with my mom, and my dad was, somewhere talking to some where family members.

After a bit, me and Gaige started to talk, I then said,"I went to one of my first parties."

Gaige smiled and said,"Nice where you are drinking."

I shoock my head and then said,"My parents still won't let me drink even if it was at a friend's house."

Gaige nodded and then said,"Who is this friend."

I shot up and smiled as I said,"she is a really good friend, and her name is Nova she is really cool!"

He nodded and said,"she does seem really cool."

I nodded and then told him about other things I did during the summer, since when we first hung out, I didn't tell him anything about my summer.

After a bit, some people walked up to us, which was my uncle on my dad's side and his kids.

It was uncle, Rey, and his three kids' names are Emily, Karissa, and Jay.
Karissa was in grade 12 and didn't want to be here since she looked upset. Emily was in grade 6 and she had a full face of makeup and was on her phone, and Jay was in grade 10, and he looked like he ws in a gang, they did live in the city, so it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Their dad left them with us and then went to talk to the adults, kole then showed up to sit as well. Kole was on his phone, as Gaige was talking to Karissa, and Jay was talking to me, and Emily looked really mad that she didn't have anyone to talk to, that was her age, since most kids that wasn't us where, like baby's or older then kole like 20 or something like that.

After a bit, I mentioned Tiffany and Karissa said,"ohhhh, I know her she is my friend."

I was surprised that Tiffany knew someone in my family other than me or kole, but it was a fun surprise since Karissa was board of talking to kole.

When we were about to leave and Karissa gave me her number, I was surprised since I didn't think we talked enough about that, but now I know that Tiffany knows one of my extended family, which was cool.

I was excited when I got home since it was like midnight when we got home, I was tired, so when we got home, I changed and then fell asleep, slowly.
