You get home as your about to change you hear the door open
"Honey I'm home" Steve says
"I'm in the kitchen!" You say as you grabs knife from the right drawer and keep your gun in your pocket.
Steve has his gun prepared in the back of his pants just in case. He walk in to the kitchen "no dinner?" He asks
"No I thought you'd be home late today, I didn't make any" you say
"Oh that's right" he says with a smile "so where were you?" He asks
"Nowhere" you answer reaching into your pocket.
"So why are you all dressed up?" He asks. He's suspicious and so are you. You both waiting for the other person to make the first move. Before one of you can pull the trigger.
"Just dressed up for you" you say hoping that opening your jacket would distract him. This jacket trick so far has worked 50/50 for you. You take the jacket of standing there in only the lingerie.
"Really? No other reason?" He asks getting closer to you. You keep yourself ready just in case you have to fight him "so your telling me you were at home? Not at the Grand Hotel?" He asks
"No were your there?" You ask him
"No. I was working" he says
"Great so I was at home and you were at work" you say
"Correct" he says "I'll see you in bed honey, I'm really tired" Steve says as he starts walking away
"Okay Steve" yous say as hold up your gun.
Steve slowly turns around as he pulls out his gun as well. Now the question is who will pull the trigger first.
"So what your real name?" He asks "clearly you know mine" he says
"That's only because I'm a better agent then you Steve. Now this name suits you much better" you say still holding the gun up
"We have come this far. So tell me what is it?" He asks
"Y/n Y/l/n" you say
"So who's going to pull the trigger?" He asks
"Lady's first?" You ask him with a smile
"I am a gentleman, go for it" he says and as your about to pull the trigger the door bell rings.
Steve put the gun away and goes to open the door as you cover yourself up with the jacket. It's you neighbour Ashley at the door
"Hi I'm so sorry to bother you two this late, but my mom just called and my dad is in the hospital he just had a heart attack . Me and mark are taking the first flight back home but can't take Jack with us. Could you two take care of him? It's only for the night I'll be back tomorrow to get him. And I know he's really comfortable with Sara so he won't bother your that much. Again I'm so sorry for the short notice" he says as she's crying and talking so fast Steve nearly understood what she was saying
"Um.." Steve looks at her
"Oh Ashley of course" you say as you hug her "you go with zero worries. We will take great care of jack" you say to her
"Really?" She asks
"Of course. I'm thankful that you even considered me" you say
"Oh Sara you are the best" she says handing you the baby bag and hands Jack over to Steve "I promised I'll be back tomorrow" she says
"No worries. And all my prayers and wishes to your dad" you say and close the door
"Wow your really good in faking it" Steve says
"Shut up" you say "give me the baby before you drop him" you say
"No how do I know you won't shoot me?" He says "this baby is basically my shield" he says
"Im not going to shoot you" you say
"You were willing to that a few second ago" he says
"That was different. As long as this baby is in the house we won't do anything. Deal?" You ask
"Deal" Steve says as you two shake hands "now go and change you look slutty" he says jokingly
"Don't act like you don't like it" you say then walk upstairs to change. You change and put on something more appropriate. You try finding a place for the baby to sleep. Ashley didn't give you anything. You you look around the room but soon give up.
You head downstairs and see Steve chilling on the couch with Jack "he's a fun one" he says as Jack just chills in Steve.
"He is" you say as you sit down on the couch across from Steve.
"The Red Room really ruined it for us didn't it?" Steve says
"We are a terrible couple" you say "and even worse parents" you say
"I know but that opinion being taken away makes it worse" he says "so why do they do it?" He asks
"They believed that a pregnancy is the only thing that would prevent me from completing my mission. Can't get attached to something that you can't have" you say
"Why did we never just tell each other the truth about us?" Steve says "look it's not that bad beside the fact we almost killed each other" Steve says "who are you Y/n?" He asks
As your about to answer him but Jack starts to cry "what do I do?" Steve asks
"I don't know" you say
"Take him" Steve says handing Jack over to you. "Hey shhh" you say claiming him down "it's okay" you say as you walk back and forth claiming him
"I'll get his bottle" Steve looks in the baby bag for a bottle "here you go buddy" Steve says as he wraps one of his arm around you and uses his other hand to feed Jack
