As I got out of the house, I couldn't help but smile, having my first talk with my dear little Layla's family was amazing, though I wish I could've met her father.

I got in my car, replaying so much of our memories that we've made. Well, I'm positive she also replays our memories but she probably grimaces when she does. I don't really care, I just want her to think of me, negative or not. I still remember my first day meeting her, the day I fell.

I strode through the halls, pride basically walked with me throughout the halls, I couldn't help but grin.

I reached my locker in no time, but just then, a sight nearby made me hold my breath.

It was a girl.

Like no other.

I stared, she had pretty blonde hair, she wore glasses, she was wearing lots of jewelry and I could already tell she loved the color pink.

Just then at the worst moment, the bell rung and chaos quickly ensued. I turned back to where I saw her and she was gone.

I wasn't gonna allow it to be some hallway crush though, oh no no.

I stormed right up to my father and demanded he get me in all of her classes ASAP. And the very next day, I sat behind her in science with a huge grin on my face.

Can you blame me though?

And though I was already planning on impressing her with how smart I was and how I could get her everything, she had other plans.

Spoiler alert, I was the one impressed instead.

"Could anyone answer this question?" The teacher had asked, and I of course raised my hand confidently and answered. Though the teacher only sighed and smiled at Layla. To which she scoffed and raised her hand with a smirk and said the answer.

"Never expected less from you, Layla." the teacher had smiled and that's when my perspective absolutely changed. I realized that this girl was gonna be more than a challenge to catch. And I was completely up for it.

I open the door to my house as my mom greeted me with a smile as my father nodded to me from his chair.

"How was the tutoring son?" my father asks and I shrug.

"So-so, love the tutor though." I smile and my father shakes his head as my mother smiles.

"Was it that Layla girl?" My mother asks and I nod. My father nods to himself as he states, "That girl has a reputation, a good one at that, and is a very lovely girl. I do hope you two get along."

"No worries dad, we get along quite snug." I smirk. Oh if they knew the truth.

"Did you eat yet dear?" My mother asks and I nod.

"Layla's mom cooked a specialty and invited me for dinner." I say, to which my mother beams.

"Oo! Maybe I should try to get contact of Layla's mom, I hear she's a very sweet person." It was true. Layla's mom is sweet, So is Layla to almost everyone.

Except for me.

Didn't mean I wasn't gonna try.

Wait. The retreat! I know a way I can get close to Layla now. I just need to have a little chit chat with the staff and maybe drop a bit of cash.

Sorry not sorry my dear Layla.
