The week was busy but fulfilling. I was busy with my upcoming concert prep and overseas tour, and the days were long.

Tuesday came by, and I nearly forgot about the games night until Ta messaged me, asking if I was coming. I called him immediately.

"Super busy, Ta. I may not be able to come after all. I'm still in the studio working on some stuff."

"Owh, okays then P. I understand. It's fine. I guess I will see you on Saturday then?"

"Actually, I wouldn't be able to make it on Saturday either. I have informed my manager, who has informed the coordinator. I need to fly out for a short trip with regards to meeting the marcom personnel for my upcoming tour."

"Oh. Okays."

Ta told me to rest well and to have my meals before hanging up. However, I could sense the disappointment in his voice and it made me feel really bad. I know Saturday was impossible as my tickets have been booked but I looked at my watch. I knew his game night would run late. Maybe I could stop by later?

I decided to hustle and got a fair bit of work done before leaving my studio at 11pm. I drove over to his place and I could hear the raucous laughter and groans coming from his apartment. I knocked on the door, only to have Ta opening it, yelling away at someone. He turned and saw me.

He was completely gobsmacked.

"What are you doing here?"

"Games night."

"But you said you couldn't make it."

"Well I wouldn't be able to make it on Saturday. And if I don't come today, then the next time we will be meeting will be only a month later once my concert is over. And I think that's way too long. Don't you agree?"

Ta didn't say anything but just smiled, shyly waving me in. The rest of the boys were stoked to see me and immediately included me in the games.

I jumped right into it as Ta brought me a beer and sat next to me. I was playing slightly better compared to the last time thanks to Ta's coaching but still not so spectacular. But I guess, losing 2 games out of 5 is better than losing all!

Ta patted my knees everytime I lost, comforting me and excitedly hugged me around my shoulder when I won! I really enjoyed being praised by him and wanted to win the final race so badly. By a hair's breadth, I won it! I jumped up, celebrating and Ta held onto me and we jumped around for a bit. Everyone was either busy cheering or groaning in defeat and so, our actions went unseen. I looked at Ta and he kissed me on my cheek, congratulating me on winning and then realized his folly.

He let go, his face absolutely blushing. I laughed but didn't say anything though I knew my own heart was jumping a mile a minute. We moved away from each other as Ta went to get more drinks for us while I turned to the other guys to chat.

We finally rounded off the night around 3am and everyone left. I was preparing to leave when Ta asked me if I wanted to stay behind and sleep over instead. I looked at him, really wanting to say yes but I knew my burgeoning feelings for him will not do me any good being in such close proximity with him.

"It's fine Ta. I head home. I need to prep for work later anyways. I guess, I will see you probably a month later?"

Ta nodded, his face dropping at hearing that. But I guess we had no choice with work commitments piled up. Just as I was about to leave, Ta held onto my hand.

"P, take care ok? Please do make time for meals and rest well too."

"I will, Ta. Haha you sound like a boyfriend nagging at me."

"I know. I realized that too. But I don't know why it doesnt seem to strike me as odd even though I... just take care? Don't make me worry."

I looked at Ta, nodding my head. I wanted to say so much more and do so much more but held myself back. He sounded confused and I didn't want to add on to it. I just patted his hand before pulling it out of his grasp slowly and turned to go.

The last I saw of Ta, was him waving at me as I drove off. Argh. Sue my heart already.
