(Back at home, Mr dikrol and ava are still making pancakes. Mrs dikrol isn't with them. Ava is wearing a glove, she constantly flips a pancake)
Ava: (to Mr dikrol) you know making pancakes, it wasn't really our drill. it was almost like we were vegetarians, having veges almost all through the year
Mr dikrol: did you really like having that?
Ava: um, not really. it was mostly a thing for my husband and Beth. I, sugar, and Coco, we preferred otherwise. that, was one of the things that made us have meals differently
Mr dikrol: (surprised) one of the things?
Ava: (chuckles) one of many. sugar don't fill you in with all of this?
Mr dikrol: nah. she got other things to do, and plus, she never talks about her family
Ava: I don't blame her, she didn't really have the best
Mr dikrol: what? your the best
Ava: yeah, no shit! (Chuckles)
(In the living room, the door is gentle opened. uncle coco sneaks inside and walks slowly towards the kitchen)
Voice of protagonist: while grandma and dad seemed to be getting along, uncle coco showed up for the first in years. and he chose to sneak in
Mr dikrol: do you and Beth still keep in touch?
Ava: ...mm...we try
(Uncle coco is now standing behind them)
Uncle coco: boo!
(They both look behind in fear)
Ava: oh coco, you gave me a fright there
Uncle coco: ha ha ha. mother! (hugs her tight)
Ava: oh (pats hes back)
Uncle coco: you know, when I heard you were coming today, I wasn't sure what to do I thought it was one of Mary's pranks again to get me to come visit. but as I sat, I thought to myself; eh...Mary can't make a prank like that. and here I am
Ava: (to coco) how have you been?
Uncle coco: let me see, I would say on a scale from one to ten, four and a half
(Ava chuckles. Mr dikrol picks up a tray that has plates filled with dozens of pancake)
Mr dikrol: these would do
Uncle coco: (now notices him) oh, bro (offers him a handshake)
Mr dikrol: (accepts the handshake) hey men
Uncle coco: (to Mr dikrol) where's Mary?
Mr dikrol: oh, she's in. but am sure she'll be out soon. can't resist all the buzz
Uncle coco: (to ava, scoffs) and mom, you just look exactly the same as I last saw you
Ava: really? (looks at Mr dikrol to confirm)
Mr dikrol: yeah, exactly the same (looks at uncle coco)
(Ava notices them throwing secretive smiles at each other)
Ava: you two hudlomps (pulls there ears)
(The three heads out into the living room with loud laughters, Mr dikrol drops the tray of pancakes on the dinning table. Mrs dikrol walks down the stairs after being disturbed by the noise, she's startled to she uncle coco. uncle coco notices her presence)
Uncle coco: there she is, my favorite sis
Mrs dikrol: coco?
(Uncle coco quickly runs to her, hugs her as he spins her round, Mrs dikrol is really happy to she him. Ava and Mr dikrol smiles at each other as they watch)
