Imminent Storm

[scene: Nagazore]

Raven waited quite under the Nagazora Wall. The air was still. A familiar yet hateful scent kept seeping through from the opposite side of the wall. The source of this scent had not moved for a while. The girl was probably unconscious. Raven knew she must be extremely careful. Any mistake could spell her doom. She clenched her fists. Her hunt for the demoness was nearing its end. Long had she waited for this moment. But...

Raven:......

What happened three nights ago continued to sow the seeds of doubt in her mind. Raven fought her under the brilliant neon lights of Arc City and tasted defeat. Raven waited for the enemy to pull the trigger and end her life, but she saw hesitation in her blue eyes. The Herrscher of the Void spared her life that night. The Herrscher of the Void saved Arc City that night. When dawn broke, she witnessed the girl falling lifelessly from the heavens. Was she dead? She had always prayed for that moment, but it brought her no satisfaction. That bottomless hole remained in her heart. What didn't help was the words her brother had said. There was no comfort...

*TAP*, *TAP*...

Approaching footsteps ended her thoughts about the past.

Raven: You're here.

Mei:......

Raven: She's near the second quarantine gate of the wall. I hope you're ready.

Mei: Let's go.

The two jumped from the ledge they were standing on, onto a bridge below them, where there was some Honkai Beast, so the two then quickly killed the Honkai Beast in their way, some of the beast tried firing projectiles at Mei, how she dodged it and it activated her slow time function, as she took the last one down, two more appeared so the two then went against the two Honkai Beast that suddenly appeared. Like the Honkai beast just before them, it didn't take Mei and Raven long to destroy them.

After clearing the path both of them proceeded towards the wall. However both girl knew it was a little easy, Mei then dodged an attack from a Honkai Beast, a Knight, as Raven slashed at it with her talons. After getting hit by Raven, the beast got hit by Mei as she had activated her burst. Mei then cut into the beast with her lightning infused sword swings, so shortly after a barrage of slashes from Mei and her lightning attacks, the beast was killed.

After that the two continued on their way. They got to the end of the platform as Raven pressed a button, which caused the elevator to come down. Both got on the elevator, it then took them up. Once they got up, they walked over to a control panel for the wall.

Raven: The path is clear...

*WHOOO*

A thunderstorm suddenly descended. Raven's cape fluttered loudly as a giant beast soared into the sky.

Raven: Time to face that beast...

Benares:...!!

Mei: Ow... My head... it's hurting again...

Then before she had a chance to say anything else, Benares landed in front of both her and Raven. Both of them had their weapons ready. Mei and slashed at Benares with her blade as Raven did the same with her talons. Mei also used her lightning against the judgement-class Honkai beast. When Benares slammed its arms against them, they avoided just in time. Raven jumped back getting ready to pounce whereas Mei slashed against Benares side. The dragon get irritated with Mei then tried to bite the ex-Valkyrie with her jaws. However that didn't happen as Mei dodged it, triggering her slow time function and counterattack attack at the base of Benares neck, However the dragon saw this and spin around and fired off lightning orbs around her. One of them hit Mei, this only did so much against Mei with being a former Herrscher of thunder as well as having an electro vision, which reduced the damage she would take otherwise. The dragon continued using lightning attacks as Mei avoided such attacks and slashed at the dragon. After a short while Mei activated her burst and used a barrage of lightning slash attacks at Benares as Raven was then launched at Benares. The two landed their attacks on the dragon in front of them, then the two had to avoid Benares lightning attack, which was then followed by an ice attack. Mei burst had finished after as Benares fired more lightning orbs at the two. Both worked together and landed both their attacks on the same spot. After a few minutes Mei activated her burst again and attacked the Benares with all she's got, the dragon then went to attack Mei however she avoided it and triggered her slow time function as Raven attacked. After a prolonged attack the dragon fell down, exhausted.
