My grandparents walk in to the house, my grandma first and my grandpa just behind her, they then run their shoes on the door mat.
My mom asks her parents if they want something to eat, grandma looks up at my mom, and then shakes her head as an indication that she is not hungry. On the other hand, my grandpa slightly raises his finger, kind of like how students in school raise their finger when they want to ask their teacher a question. "Kaffee bitte" my grandpa stated.
If you didn't know, my grandpa said "coffee please", but in German. My grandparents are from Germany and moved to the UK in the 1980's, but then they moved back because they found the UK to be a boring place. They're here because they're visiting the UK for Christmas. My dad isn't German, he's just English. So me and my siblings are half German, half English.
