Lutes pov
I headed to the chief's house with a stack of papers in hand. the chief was off sick today, presumably with the man flu and I'm bringing him over work to do while he's out of commission.
"Sir it's me" I headed into the house "I'm here with the paperwork"
"I'm in here" he called out from the living room. I headed into the living room to find him with a blanket draped over him, a box of tissues at one side and a bowl of Doritos on the other. His nose was red and he was playing what looked to be a shooter game.
"Uhh you're playing video games?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Not just any game. It's call of duty" he said firmly.
I stared at the screen in confusion "a gun game? You fire guns for a living"
"Yeah but these are nazi zombies" he shot a hole in the zombie's skull "here give it a try" he chucked a spare controller at me.
"Fine but only cause you're sick" I took a seat next to him "but don't expect me to like your dumb pewpew game"
*Time skip*
"Get out of my face" I shot through a hoard of zombies.
"Now say a slur" Adam encouraged me.
"€§^$¢"
"Fuck yeah" Adam cheered before letting out a yawn "it's so awesome to have someone to shoot zombies with"
"Well the game isn't as dumb as I thought it would be-" I stopped when I felt a weight on my shoulder. I looked over to see Adam had fallen asleep. I smiled softly as I laid him down on the sofa and wrapped the blanket over him.
"Goodnight sir"
