🎈CHAPTER 28🎈
°•°Vanessa's POV°•°
Mike immediately took us through out the town, every place all of us use to hang out together, as the sun started raising he took us to the field where we made the oath and then, the barrens.
"The barrens." Beverly states.
"This is where we came, after the rock fight." Ben says, with a smile on his face.
"The clubhouse." Richie says in realization.
"You built that for us." Beverly states.
"Yeah, the hatch has got to be around here someplace." Richie points out, as we walked a bit forward.
"You did. I do remember that!" Eddie says happily, for all the bad memories, we had some pretty good memories together as well, one's I wish I didn't forget. Eddie took my hand, making sure I don't end up falling over a tree trunk or something, I could only smile at my husband, as he showed his protective side, by such gestures.
"You know what? I actually think the door was more like around..." Ben says, stepping around on the ground, as he fell into a hole, as we could here him crashing down on the bottom.
"Found it."
"Ben, are you okay?" I shout down, so that he could here me.
"I'm okay! Come down!" He yells back, making us move forward and climb down the ladder.
One by one we climbed down, from the top I could hear Richie asks, "What the dick is this? How'd you build it?" I could only roll my eyes as it was finally my turn to climb down.
"When did you build it?" Bill asks Ben.
"Here and there, I guess. It was already dug out from something, so I just had to reinforce the walls and get some wood for the roof door, and that's pretty much it. Pretty good for my first time, huh?" Ben explains, being proud of his work, and he should be, but when he put his hand on the pilar next to him, to have part of the roof fall to the ground.
"Now, that's a cool feature. What happens when you put your hand on the other pillar, professor?" Richie asks, sarcastically, and once he spoke up, Eddie started talking as well, "Okay, you see, this is exactly why there are safety codes, why we have permits. This place is a death trap. You understand that?"
"Well, it's a work in progress. Okay, Eddie?" Ben states.
"Just so you know, I get hurt, you are liable, and also, what is this? The switch of an iron maiden?" Eddie asks pointing at something that was hanging from one of the pillars. "No, Eds. That's a flashlight." I point out, in annoyance.
"What is that, a horse hitch? When do you have horses down... Oh, this is cool." Eddie says, getting distracted by a paddle ball, as he picked it up. "That was like, three dollars, so be careful with that, please." Ben asks nicely.
"I have one of these. Hey, Stan, you see this?" Eddie asks, as he starts hitting the ball in Stanley's face. "Yeah, okay, can you maybe not?" Stan asks, trying not to get hit in the face with the ball. "Maybe not what? Yeah, yeah, hold on. Maybe not what? Be awesome and have fun, and celebrate the magic of the paddle ball?" Eddie says, going too fast making the paddle ball fall out of his hands, past Stanley's face.
"Wow."
"Oh, good going, fucknut. You broke his thing." Eddie says.
"I broke it?" Stanley asks in disbelief.
