🎈CHAPTER 35🎈

°•°Vanessa's POV°•°

"This is where it hid." Mike tells us, looking around this place definitely gave me even more shivers, a huge spiky form of some black substance, that has gone completely hard, there was even skulls and bones laying around.

"So, all this has been under Derry, like, forever?" Eddie asks, staring at his surroundings in fear, which he was hiding pretty well.

"Not forever, just a few million years." Mike says like that wasn't a long time, but it is, I don't even wanna think about how many people has died by this thing's hands. Mike led us towards the middle of the black spiky area.

Mike took off his backpack taking out the weird artifact, he grabbed out of Richie's hands at the library, sitting it down on the rock, in the middle of all of us.

"It can only be attacked in it's true form. The ritual will show us that." Mike says, which didn't sound good at all. "And what is it's true form?" asks Ben.

"I hope it's a puppy, like a Pomeranian or... I'll shut up." Richie says, after seeing how some of us were looking at him, I knew he was only trying to lighten our moods, but at this point it was impossible.

"It's light. A light that must be snuffed out by darkness." Mike says, as he threw some oil or gasoline, I couldn't tell in the dark, into the artifact, lighting a match throwing it inside, making it start burning. "Your artifacts, place them in the fire. The past must burn with the present." Mike states, as each of us took out our artifacts.

Bill went first. "This is the boat that I built with Georgie." He says with a sad smile, putting it into the fire.

"It's my inhaler." Is all Eddie said, taking one last puff, before throwing it into the fire as well. "Come on, dude." Richie says, not believing that's all Eddie had to say, but I went next, with the four small pieces of papers in my hands. "It's something that made me never give up, even in the most toughest of times." I say, placing it in the fire, I noticed Eddie staring at me with those loveable eyes of his.

"Something that I wish I had held on to." Beverly spoke up, holding a post card to her heart, before she threw it into the fire too.

"This is a page from my yearbook. That only one person signed. I probably should have forgotten it, but I couldn't, because I kept it in my wallet for 27 years." Ben says, I saw him looking at Bev, before letting it, into the fire.

"This is a token from the Capitol Theater." Richie says, from the way he spoke, I could tell there was a story behind it.

"You brought an actual token?" Eddie asks.

"Yeah, man." Richie says, as he let it fall into the fire. "That's what we were supposed to do, asshole." He says to my husband.

"Do you have any idea how long that's gonna take to burn?" Eddie questions him with his arms crossed. "Eds, your inhaler is gonna take forever too." I spoke up, placing my hand on his shoulder.

"Guys, come on." Ben says, trying to stop the too from arguing. "All the toxic fumes and the plastic and shit, so..." Richie says trailing off.

Mike held up a rock for all of us to see. "Look closely, Vanessa." Mike says, doing as told, I saw there was blood on it. "You see it? That's where you hit Bowers." Mike states, making me smile, as I say in realisation, "The rock fight."

"The day these bonds were forged." Mike says.

"That's not gonna burn, either." Eddie says to Mike with a hand on his shoulder, Mike only looked at him, throwing it into the fire.
