It was February 14th, Valentine's Day. I had been waiting for this day for months. Ever since I laid eyes on Tin Man in July of last year, I knew I wanted to be with him. His blue complexion shining in the sunlight drew me in. I was so enamored by him and we hadn't even met. He was the most beautiful robot I had ever seen.
I immediately went up to him to see if I could get his number. He didn't say much. He just beeped out the digits and turned away. I was so attracted to his mystic personality.
The next day I texted him and we talked for a while. He was really nice even though he kept leaving me on delivered for 2 hours at a time. I think he's just a slow typer. We then texted every day for two months. He slowly opened up a bit more and we started having some real conversations. We even met up a few times. My feelings only grew as time went on.
Now, eight months later, we are closer than ever. My feelings towards Tin Man have become so strong that I can no longer keep them to myself. I've decided to write him a letter. A love letter. And now that it's Valentine's Day, I have the perfect excuse to ask him out.
I went straight to my desk and grabbed the card I had bought months ago and have been waiting to use. It was the perfect card. It had a heart with gears and a wrench in it. It reminds me of Tin Man's gears. I grabbed my favorite red pen and began to write.
On the front I decided to write, "Dear Tin Man, be my robot." I knew it was risky, but this was supposed to be a confession so I didn't care. I then thought for a minute about how I should write my confession. Eventually I came up with, "and let's have fun 😜" I was kinda nervous to send it because it was really bold of me, but I put that aside and dug through my drawers for a stamp.
I found a stamp that matched the card perfectly, a red heart with gears inside. I stuck it into the card and wrote on the back, "To Tin Man, from dookie bear."
I went outside to the mailbox to send the letter off, but just as I slipped the letter in, I noticed the mail truck driving away already! Luckily, the power of my intense love and passion (with help from the wind) blew the letter into the back of the truck. I was so thankful. I watched the truck drive over the hills towards Tin Man's kawaii junk yard.
I went inside and opened up my surveillance camera system. I watched as the mail truck came over the hill and up to Tin Man's shed. I saw the love radiating off of my letter as it floated into his mailbox. I almost bursted when I saw my wittle tinny winny man come out of his little shed and open his mailbox. He looked at it with so much excitement. I felt a lot of hope seeing the joy on his face.
I watched as he read the card, his metal face somehow blushing fiercely even though he doesn't have blood. He then disappeared into his shed again and came back out ten minutes later with a pink letter in his grasp. He delicately placed the letter into his mailbox and waited for the mail truck to come back around because for some reason it travels the same route twice a day.
The mail truck took my letter and I went outside excitedly to wait for it to get here. I almost busted AGAIN when I saw the mail truck drive over the hill separating our homes. The mail truck dropped off my letter and I rushed inside to read it.
The letter said,
"Dear, y/n,
I'm picking up what you're putting down 😼 (hopefully that badonkadonk on my tin)Meet me at my junkyard tonight... I'm gonna put my junk in your yard 🤫🧏
Love, 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 Tin"
I blushed so fiercely that I started whimpering a lot. My toes curled and my nose hairs tickled. I started crying a little bit from joy. I lowkey crumbed a little bit. I was so excited to meet him at pound town tonight. Jorking it rn.
