"Where?"

"Where?"

"Where are we?" I asked.

The room felt cramped, despite its generous size. The wood-paneled walls of the cabin gave off a rustic vibe, but the tension between us was anything but homey.

Sadly, I'd missed the last few meetings. I had been too busy trying to help Josiah with wires, a task that would've gone faster if we weren't both basically colorblind.

"Someone left out the soda!" Micah exclaimed, his voice sharp with annoyance. He held up a bottle as evidence. "And didn't even put the lid back on!"

The group collectively gasped, as though a crime against humanity had just been committed. "That's horrible and all, but—" I raised my hand, trying to redirect the conversation. "Anyone gonna answer my question? Where are we?"

Elijah leaned in close, his voice barely above a whisper. "Oh, we're just watching over Mom's cabin."

Micah, still fixated on the soda, pointed accusingly at the bottle. "And now it's flat!" he declared. We gasped again, even louder this time.

"Anyone sus?" Shiloh asked, cutting through the soda drama with a question that made us all freeze for a moment.

"RED is suuu—" Judah began, his tone dripping with suspicion before he abruptly stopped himself.

I furrowed my brows and glanced around, my eyes landing on Britney. Something was off. Usually, Britney was red. But now, she was cyan, and Daniel was red! The irony hit me like a plot twist in a bad mystery novel. How the tables had turned.

"Judah?" Britney asked, her voice cutting through the silence.

I turned to look at Judah, who stood next to me, fidgeting like he was caught in a lie. "Bu—bu—" he stuttered, clearly flustered. I reached out and patted his shoulder sympathetically as he leaned on the table for support.

"You changed colors???" Judah finally blurted, his tone a mix of shock and betrayal.

"Is red still sus?" Britney smirked, pointing dramatically at Daniel, as if presenting evidence.

"Judah!" Daniel gasped, clutching his chest in mock outrage. "I'M sus??" His voice dripped with feigned betrayal.

"You know what? Red is safe," Judah declared suddenly, standing straighter. "In fact, red is so safe, I would trust him with my life!"

"Thanks, man," Daniel said with a small, appreciative nod.

"For sure, bruh." Judah slung an arm around my shoulder, then turned his accusing finger on Britney. "Also...  Cyan's sus!"

Britney's face twisted into a mix of frustration and disbelief. "So help me, Judah!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the cabin.

"Okay, okay," Micah intervened, raising his hands to calm the rising tension. "We do not have any real evidence! So, let's not start voting people out on the first round like we do every single time!" His tone was firm, like a teacher scolding unruly students.

"I say we skip," Elijah chimed in, his calm demeanor cutting through the chaos.

"Skip! Skip. Skip!" The group chanted, agreeing in unison, though Judah muttered something under his breath.

"But Britney's—" Judah tried to argue, but he was swiftly cut off.

"No, Judah," we all said in unison, our voices synchronized like a chorus.

Shiloh clapped her hands, taking charge. "Alright, everybody. Mom gave us each a list of tasks to do at the cabin. Get 'em done!" He handed out task cards, one by one, like a general distributing orders before a battle.
