Rudra's pov.
My fiance ran away. I should be sad or angry but I'm none. I couldn't care less about her running away. But what I can't deal with right now is my father.
"Who asked you to suggest I marry their other daughter?"
My voice held calm. It is always calm. My grandfather, Ajay oberoi, was a psychopathic sadist. But he always taught me to be calm and not to wear my emotions on my sleeves because people loves to manipulate other people's emotions and feelings. I know because I do the same, the man himself taught me how to use people's weaknesses i.e their emotions, against them.
"You don't tell me what to do, it's the other way around." He says as he opens the mini bar in my office and fills his glass with whiskey.
My father is no different than my grandfather. They are cut from the same cloth, agressive and always hungry for power.
My father is the devil and I, by extention, his spawn. He won't give up his throne and I won't stop until I take it, snatch it from his slimy fingers if necessary.
"She is young and annoying." I stare at the file kept open in front of me. Naina khurana. 21.
"Younger the better. And you can take care of the annoying part by yourself, you know how easy it is to mold younger girls to your needs."
I don't like the way he just spoke about her. I shouldn't care, I don't, but I'm possesive of my things and considering now that I have to marry her instead of her sister, she will be my thing.
He finishes his drink in a go and keeps his glass down. "I have to go and calm down your mother."
If he has done anything right in his entire life, it is loving and respecting my mother. All his crap about molding a woman to your needs doesn't work on my mother. In that case, it's the other way around. If he's at all decent, it is because of her. And because of Shreya, my little sister who has him wrapped around her finger.
"We could've just taken the money he owes us and the shares of his company." I say. I know what he will say next.
"He won't be able to pay us the entire amount in this lifetime. Naina is now the sole heiress to her father's business, you will be getting more than just a few shares by marrying his daughter. If anything, surbhi did us a huge favour by running away." He buttons his tux and gives me a hard look. "Make nice with his young daughter, keep her happy until she gives you an heir because without that your marriage to her might as well be useless." He says and walks out of the office.
I look down at the file and the photo attached to it, she is beautiful there's no doubt in that, but i've seen her couple of times, never really paid any attention to her because she was always a loud mouth, didn't know when to shut up and that's a major pain in the ass.
Marrying surbhi would have been a piece of cake, she was quite and as uninterested in this alliance as me, but something tells me her sister won't be so easy to deal with.

Naina's pov.
"Postpone the wedding for a week atleast. She has no bridal dress, she did not even follow any of the rituals a bride does, she had no haldi no mehendi, how are we supposed to send her just like that?"
I hear mom panicking but nothing registers in my head. I'm numb.
Dad joined his hands and begged me to marry rudra, my sister's fiance. How twisted is that?
I didn't even say yes or gave him any affirmative nod. After begging and doing his emotional blackmailing he just believed I would have no problem in going ahead with his decision since I'm his obedient little daughter who will do anything to make him happy.
