Rudra's pov.

Life is unpredictable and so are the people living in it. When Naina called me last night I didn't think she would actually agree to have a child that easily. And I was proven right when she put forward two conditions, I can't say I didn't like her little negotiation.

What I don't like is the way she is stuttering down the stairs with a big smile on her face at the mention of her friend. Akansha Sharma. The name came up when I searched through naina's social media. She comments on all of her post with hearts and kisses which is enough to make me dislike her. She would have already gone missing if she was a boy. I left that fucker, rishabh, alone since he didn't show me his face again or came close to naina again.

"I missed you so much." I reach the drawing room where I find my wife hugging her friend like she hasn't seen her in years.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming back so soon?" Naina asks her friend who still has her hands around my wife.

"Because I wanted to give you a surprise but you gave me one back. Look at you, you look so.... married. So beautiful." Her friend studies her with a smile on her face. That smile fades when she looks at me, changing her happy expression to the one of hate. Feelings are very much mutual.

"And you must be rudra, the husband."

"And you must be akansha, the so-called best friend."

"What do you mean so-called?" She glares at me. I see naina digging her nails into her friend's palm that is currently in her hands, hands that were on my chest just a few minutes ago.

"He means it's nice you came here. Come on, let's talk in the garden." Naina slants me a glare before pulling her friend out with her.

I was about to follow them because I don't trust her friend even a bit when my phone started ringing.

I take my phone out and see dhruv's name flashing on it. I pick up the call and put the phone against my ear.

"Yes."

"Boss, what do we do with this fucker?" I hear muffle screams from the background. "His blood has already ruined my favourite white shirt."

Good, I am still not over how Naina begged me to keep him back as her guard.

"I'll be there in half an hour."

Naina's pov.

"So that's how I ended up marrying him." I finish telling akansha the entire story.

"Babe, you are truly screwed." She says as she finishes her chocolate milkshake.

Wait till she finds out about the deal I just made with the devil, i.e my husband. I keep that information to myself though.

"Tell me about you, I see someone's got that american acccent." I wiggle my eyebrows with a grin.

"I was there for six months, of course their accent rubbed off on me." She says and makes a face while speaking in American accent. I giggle at her antics.
