Naina's pov.

I am waiting for rudra. He is late as usual, we have to leave for his parents' house for dinner. I'm sitting in the drawing room contemplating my decision.

How can a life change so much in just a few days? Although it's going to be one month to our wedding in a few days.

"Naina ma'am, driver's waiting for you." Fiza says as she enters the drawing room.

"Where's rudra?" I ask her.

She shrugs her shoulders. "Don't know but the driver said that sir asked you to go ahead and he'll join you later."

I give her a nod and get up. I keep my disappointment aside as I make my way outside. Since I returned from the cafe I've been thinking about what to do.

If I don't do everything I can to stop rudra from spoiling my sister's life then my guilt will eat me alive. But then the thought that maybe rudra does have feelings for my sister makes my stomach turn in an ugly way.

The call di made last night must be when she was bleeding. God, I can't even imagine how scared she must have been.

I see dhruv at the door and not that buff guy. I smile at him and he gives me a nod. "Your boss let you back?"

"Not very easily." He groans and looks at the driver's seat and there is the buff guy.

"He is going to drive us now?" I ask him.

"Yes." Dhruv opens the door for me.

I sit inside with a small thanks. The man infront is very intimidating. So I try to harden my voice when I ask, "What is your name?"

He didn't say anything, instead dhruv turns around and says, "Boss asked us not to talk to you."

"Oh please." I groan. "Tell me your name or else I'll tell your boss you were talking to me."

The buff guy looks at me through the rear view mirror and says, "I did not speak a word to you."

"Good luck explaining that to your boss." I smile at him, "tell me your name."

Dhruv smirks at him. The man looks pissed, "Anik."

"Nice name." I give him a victory smile.

He doesn't speaks further and drives to the mansion. We could've just walked. The steels doors opens and he stops at the entrance.

I open the door and get out. I look around and don't see rudra's car. He must be coming late then. Great.

I ring the bell and a maid opens the door. She gives me a smile and says, "Everyone's in the drawing room."

I give her a nod and walk to the drawing room where I can hear people talking. Shreya smiles when she see me. "And they are here."

Maa looks behind me and asks, "where is rudra?"

"H-he's running late." I tell her.

She turns to her husband and gives him a look, "Didn't I tell you to cancel his meetings?"

"I did." He says. "He must have some other work, don't worry about him." He then looks at me and asks, "Naina beta, didn't he tell you where he was going?"

I shake my head. "He didn't."

He nods his head but not before throwing me a skeptical glance. Does he thinks I'm lying?
