No body quite knew how to answer Jane and the longer everyone was silent made Jane get more upset and Candice looked around at the faces of the run group and she instantly felt worried that the oldest Dixon was dead so she looked over at Glenn with worried eyes but he looks at her holding up his hand mouthing to her 'He's alive' so she took a breath and Rick moved away from Lori and Carl and kneels in front of Jane "Hi Jay-jay bird, do you want to come and have a talk with uncle Rick, I've missed my best girl and I think we have a lot to talk about." Rick says to Jane and the little girl nods and quickly rushes forward to hug her uncle and he wraps his arms around Jane and carries her into camp moving from the others as he speaks to her and Glenn and Morales explain what happened to the rest of the camp.

"I knew you were alive uncle Rick! I knew it but no one believed me!" Jane says when her uncle sits down with her in his lap "Oh yeah?" He says and she nods "You weren't shiny, so I knew that you were still alive." Jane says and Rick nods, he had believed Candice all those years ago when she first told him what she could do, he was in shock when she had started talking to his recently deceased mother so ever since he had believed both her and Jane. "Uncle Rick? What happened to Mister. Merle?" Jane asks and Rick sighs before he looks at her giving her an answer "So... do you know that Mister. Merle has a really bad temper?" Rick asks her and she nods "Yes but never with me and mommy, he's always nice to us just like Mister. Daryl." Jane says and Rick nods, he was thankful that Merle hadn't been an asshole to one of his best friends and his neice.

"Well when we were in Atlanta Mister. Merle was very mean to T-Dog and he even hit him a few times so I had to use my handcuffs, do you remember I always had to have my handcuffs with me when I worked with your daddy?" Rick asks her and she nods her head "But... But daddy said they were on for criminals..." Jane trails off and Rick nods his head "Yes that's right but now I had to use them to make sure T-Dog didn't get hurt too badly and when we went to take the handcuffs off we dropped the keys... so Mister. Merle had to get left behind." Rick says and Jane jumps up and turns to look at him with tears in her eyes "You left Mister. Merle behind? All alone? Why would you do that?" Jane asks him and he reaches out to hold her hands gently running his thumbs over the backs of her hands, he notices a few bruises on her arms but doesn't say anything to her, he'll ask Candice about it because Jane wasn't a clumsy kid which just worries him more.

"Jay-jay bird we didn't have a choice there was walkers trapping us in the store and we only had a little time to get out so we had to leave him there." Rick says and she starts to cry "He is my friend and now he's all alone." Jane cries and Rick gets hit with overwhelming guilt "I'm sorry Jay-jay bird, but he did give me something for you." Rick says remembering when he had gone through Merle's bag and found his drugs but also two bags of gummy worms which had caused Merle to kick up a storm threatening Rick if he was to get rid of them, Andrea had quickly stepped in to tell Rick that they were for a little girl back at camp called Jane. Rick pulled the bags of gummy worms out of his pocket and her eyes widened "He found some." She says quietly and Rick nods at her and she takes them from her uncle "Thank you." She says and Rick nods, even when she was upset she still had her manners.

"Poor Mister. Daryl is going to be so upset." She says as she starts walking off not giving Rick a chance to ask her who she was talking about, "Hey there little lady, you left Sheriff with me." Dale says and hands her the bear and she struggles for a moment to carry everything "Oh wow I see you got those gummy worms, do you want to keep them in the RV so you know that they are safe?" Dale asks her and she nods her head and hands them to Dale and he puts them away for her, Jane looks at Merle's cuff around Sheriff and now she has a very protective feeling over it now that Merle was stuck in Atlanta. Rick walks over to Candice and gives her a hug "It's so good to see you Ricky, I missed you buddy." She says and Rick pulls back and ruffles her hair making her swat his hands away "I missed you too Cands." Rick says before looking over at Jane again.
