Bye Gaara

'What kind of form is that?' I thought

My eyes went wide once Kimimaro took on a weird form, he was charging at us. Gaara attempted to stop him, but ended up getting catapulted.

"Gaara!" I shouted.

I charged at Kimimaro with my chains out. Finally, I'm gonna land a hit on him!

At least, that's what I thought. He quickly took out one of his bones and aimed it at my chest.

Gaara tried to stop him with his sand, but he wasn't fast enough. The bone went right through my chest, nearly piercing my heart. I coughed out of pool of blood.

"Inora!!" I heard Gaara shout.

I fell to the ground.

"G-gaara I c-can't" I said, sitting in my pool of blood.

The last thing I saw was Kimimaro standing over me before everything went dark.

When I woke up I was in Gaara's lap, my head was resting on his chest, he was holding me in his arms.

"G-Gaara?" I asked, confused.

He looked worried, but my vision was a bit blurry.

He tightned his arms around me.

"Hey, I'm ok, just in a lot of pain." I said, with my usual smile.

"How can you be smiling in your situation, you're in a near death state." Gaara asked angrily, but worriedly.

I looked and saw Lee staring at the two of us and said,

"Because I know my friends are safe."

The two boys looked at me, shocked. I didn't care what happened to me, my friends were the only thing that mattered.

"It was sheer luck, I should have been killed." Gaara said.

I shook my head. I couldn't talk much, because it hurt when I did.

"No, it was not meant to be. My sensei has often said to me, a good ninja always makes his own luck." Lee started.

"That meddlesome mother hen." Gaara said.

"Guy sensei is nothing of the sort! Yes he stepped in, but only because I was not yet strong enough. I am very grateful to you for having saved my life, but I warn you, I will not abide anyone speaking ill of my sensei!" Lee said

"So you're another one, eh? You have someone in your life whom you honor and revere so much that every hurt inflicted on them, is inflicted on you as well. And the closer they are to you, the greater the pain."Gaara said looking down at me once lee finished

Once Gaara got a good look at me, there was the tiniest tint of pink on his cheeks.

"Inora, what happened to your clothes?" Gaara asked.

"O-Oh, Kimimaro ripped them." I said, nervously.

"I didn't even notice." Lee said, looking at me.

Gaara noticed Lee staring, he pulled me closer to him, and covered me with his sand so Lee couldn't see.

I ientwined my hand with his, his hand is so.. warm. It's a bit rough, but I don't mind. Gaara stared at me for a moment, I blushed a little.

"Oh, sorry." Gaara said. I just smiled.
