Byul made a face and asked Solar to stop teasing her. "I am quiet here, stop mentioning him."
"He also got more handsome." Solar said while zooming in on Jin's photo.
"Wow, is he your type?" Byul asked feeling jealous.
"Sorry, he's just a famous actor. My husband is still the handsome one." Solar threw a pillow and Byul just made a teasing face.
"What do you like? Minhyuk's there." Solar teased her more.
"I don't like anyone. I am happy to be with my son. We're okay. I don't want to divide my time with my son and by finding a lover." Byul said straight.
Solar grinned "Minhyuk and your son is close to each other. Your son might be the one to lose his attention towards you." Byul only laughed at the remark.
"Minhyuk and I are good friends. I don't have plans on having a boyfriend. I just want to focus on my son." She answered.
"You're a good mom, byul." Byul looked away, since Solar is starting to make her eyes teary.
Solar added "not because you're entering a relationship does not mean that you don't care about your son. If someone arrives to love you, give it a chance. Don't just shut your doors." Byul wiped her tears fast and hugged her friend. She knows that she understands.
Solar bid her goodbye and went home. She looked at her son who was watching on the sofa.
Moonbyul lived near her friend Solar. She was planning to move out two years ago but her friend didn't want to. She wanted to be there for Byulie too.
Was it hard to raise his son alone? Yes, it is. She was also stressed with the big adjustments that she did.
When she found out that she was pregnant, she thought that she can do it all alone. She thought that it's all about being strong, parenthood is really different. Financially, is it hard? Somehow. She was starting her career, up for a promotion. She is earning enough to be able to give her son his needs.
During bedtime, her son asked. "Mom, can you buy me an iPad?"
"I'll buy you an iPad next next month, okay?" His son looked at the calendar. "That's long." They laughed.
They talked about it a few times already. She will buy Min-joo an iPad because he's very behaved and he's helping with basic task which made her so happy.
"I'll wait for it Mom. Should i ask uncle minhyuk to buy it for me?" He asked, giggling. "Why is uncle minhyuk involved?" She laughed lightly.
"He's rich! His sister gave me lots of toys last year." He remembered.
She can't resist her son, she pinched his cheeks and kissed his forehead. "No need to ask uncle minhyuk, it's expensive. Mom said that i'll save up for it, right?" She tried her best to explain in words he understands.
Moonbyul is wise with her money and expenses especially when Min-joo arrived. She kept Min-joo's bank account untouched for his future or if there's an emergency.
"Mom, where's dad? It would be better if he'll be the one to buy me an iPad so that you're not working too hard." Moonbyul got teary eyed about his son's statement. It was so innocent.
She bit her lips, her son is too cute but it also hurted her at the same time. Trying to look for his dad with pure intentions.
"Dad's working, Min-joo. He works so that he can buy you an iPad and other things that you need." Saying this while tucking him in bed. She tapped her son's cheeks and kissed him goodnight.
He's just turning 6 but he has a lot on his mind.
"I hope dad will come home soon." He said while his eyes are closed.
"Why?" She asked.
"So you could have your own uncle changsub." He smiled.
"Why do you want me to have an uncle changsub?"
"Because uncle is nice to auntie solar. He always takes care of auntie. That's why."
Her heart melted. She couldn't help but tear up.
"I have you, Min-joo. Mom's fine since you're here." She kissed his forehead.
