"Yeah, no problem. I just want Min-joo home the following week because a friend of mine will come home." She smiled.
"Your friend?" Jin was curious.
"Yes, my friend."
Jin would like to ask more wuestion about this "friend" that Byul was talking about but he chose to stay quiet.
"When are you going back to the city?" Byul asked, slightly raising her brows.
That's what keeps her up at night. What would happen if Jin is back in the city? How about their son? She's afraid that once he's back out there, it might be hard for their son.
"It's not really too soon. I don't have any commitments for five months, i'm on a long break." He said wiggling his brows.
Jin trying to humor Byul. He's trying to start a conversation but it seems like she's not having it.
They were quiet for about five minutes and Jin was just playing with the glass of shake in front of him.
"Do you know that you were pregnant when you broke up with me? He asked without hesitation, without looking at Byul.
He's been meaning to ask this question ever since he found out about Min-joo. He just wants to know why Byul hid their son.
"No.. i didn't have any idea that time." She lied, she had closed that chapter already and she doesn't want to go back.
"Why did you broke up with me, byul? After that, i was.. i was trying to find you everywhere.. i searched for you every day." He was about to cry.
"You need to leave, Jin." She's trying to control her emotions.
"Oh god, Byul! Till now you're still trying to run away with this? I'm trying to ask you why!" His voice rising, full of frustration.
It is because he's not convinced, looking back- it's not believable that she just fell out of love that fast.
"Why Byul? What did i do wrong?"
"Nothing, i just wish you did. I didn't love you anymore, Jin. What can i do?"
And those words hurts not just Jin but also byul as well. She's not telling the truth but that's better than opening all the wounds that is not even healed. It will hurt them more.
"Do you have a new lover?" He asked, voice shaking.
Byul gulps down, not sure on how to answer this question.
"Yes, Jin. I have. It's not you anymore." She lied.
Jin lowered down his head, trying so hard not to let a tear slip out of his eyes. Clenching his fists, he took a deep breath before looking back at Byul. His ex-girlfriend.
"Good for you, byul. I'm glad you have someone right now."
He didn't wait for Byul to respond. He turned his back and walked away with a heavy heart.
Byul was able to spend time with his son, they went to some of her friends houses and bonded with her friends as well, they were happy to see Min-joo since they missed the kid as well.
After a fun day, Min-joo and byul decided to go home.
