It was afternoon. He stopped what he's doing when he heard the doorbell rang. He's sure that it's them.
He quickly clicked on something that opened the gate outside and he opened the double door. He couldn't stop smiling while looking at them walking near him.
Byul, who's also holding their son's hand seems excited as well as they're swinging each other's arm while walking.
"Go inside.." Jin mentioned and he can't get enough of looking at his son. Even when he closed the door his eyes are only fixated on his son.
Min-joo seems a bit shy. That's understandable since it's the first time that they are meeting. He even tried to hide behind byul's back.
Byul let out a comforting smile as she put the bag that he packed for his son on top of the sofa before kneeling down to meet her son's eyes.
"You said that you wanted to meet your dad, right?" The little boy just nods his head.
"Look," he encouraged his son to look at Jin who's standing a few steps away from them. "That man is your dad and his name's Jin." She mentioned not wanting to cry.
Min-joo furrowed his brows and just looked up to Jin who immediately waved his hands.
"His name's Jin, remember that, okay?" She then kissed his son's head. "Sounds like your name, right? Min-joo and Jin." he chuckled.
And that made their son let out a small laugh even repeated their names.
Byul rose up to his feet and motioned Jin to come closer so he did.. kneeling down to meet his son's eyes, he smiled with the biggest smile on his face.
"Hello, my son." Jin looked at Min-joo well and can see that they looked alike.
"Hello!" Jin not wanting to cry so bad, he wants to hug his son so tight. He loved what he's feeling and he doesn't want this to end.
"Can dad hug you? And can i give you a kiss as well? I miss you so much, my min-joo." Jin asked.
He's anticipating his son's answer and he nodded his head. Jin immediately pulled his son into a tight hug and kissed his forehead and his head multiple times with his eyes closed, seizing the moment.
"I missed you." He whispered. "I'm sorry, i'm sorry min-joo." He said, voice shaky.
Byul saw a tear slipped out of Jin's eyes and she saw how he quickly wiped it away. She couldn't help but to feel bad. They could have had this moment sooner.
"Until when are you going to stay here, daddy?" Jin's eyes widened in surprise. He looked up to Byul.
"Until you're here, Min-joo. Dad won't leave you ever again. Wherever you are, dad will be there. Daddy will always be here for you." And Min-joo was the one who hugged Jin tight.
Min-joo smiled widely and looks exactly like his father which made Byul laughed.
It was as if someone's caressing Jin's heart, literally. It kind of hurts but not because of pain. He's just so happy.
His son wants him here. His son acknowledged him as his dad. He's indeed happy.
Min-joo walked up to him again and hugged him so tight. He tiptoed because of how tall his father is.
"Thank you." Jin whispered and mouthed, looking at Byul straight in the eye. Appreciating the moment.
They had bonded for a few hours and Jin took Byul and Min-joo to a quick tour of the house. Byul gave the two time to bond and asked Jin if she can prepare something for dinner.
