Aruhi

As Rudraksh and I stepped into the garden, the gentle rustle of leaves greeted us, offering a soothing contrast to the intensity of emotions swirling within me. I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty surrounding us, the delicate petals of the flowers shimmering in the evening glow like jewels adorning the earth.

Lost in my reverie, I almost didn't notice Rudraksh's gaze on me, his eyes reflecting an unreadable emotion as he watched me with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine.

"Rana Sa," I began, my voice barely more than a whisper, "do you really want to get married? Aur aap mujhe kabhi bhi dhoka nahi doge na?" my voice steady despite the uncertainty coursing through me.

He looked a little taken aback by my question.

"Give me a chance, Aruhi," he urged, his voice soft yet resolute, reaching out to grasp his hand in mine, "I promise you, I will do everything in my power to always keep you happy. Trust me, mai humesha tumhara rahunga," he teased with a smirk playing at the corners of his lips.

Blushing at his candid declaration, I averted my gaze, feeling the warmth of his touch linger on my cheek."You're so straightforward," I murmured, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips, "and I trust you."

He looked relieved by my words, he gently brushed his knuckles against my cheek, his touch sending a rush of warmth coursing through me. As I met his gaze, I couldn't help but feel a sense of reassurance wash over me.

"Can I ask you something?" he began, his voice carrying a weight of anticipation that drew me in despite my attempt to maintain composure. I hummed softly, my gaze drifting momentarily to the tranquil beauty of the garden, a feeble attempt to steady my nerves under his penetrating gaze.

"What do you think is the most precious thing one can have?" His question hung in the air, a gentle yet profound inquiry that sparked a flicker of contemplation within me.

I smiled softly, meeting his gaze once more. "I think... Family," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper, the word carrying layers of meaning and significance that resonated deeply within me.

Suddenly, he surprised me by bending down on one knee, a gasp escaping my lips as his unexpected gesture caught me off guard.

"Then, will you be a part of mine?" His eyes bore into mine with a sincerity that stirred something within me, his question hanging in the air like a promise waiting to be fulfilled.

In that moment, as the weight of his words sank in, I felt a rush of emotions flood through me- surprise, joy, and a profound sense of belonging that left me momentarily speechless. My hands instinctively flew to cover my mouth in shock, my heart racing with a mixture of excitement and disbelief.

"I don't have a ring with me right now to give you, but I couldn't wait any longer," he confessed, his honesty and vulnerability stripping away any lingering doubts or reservations.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I gazed into his, overwhelmed by the depth of his proposal. It wasn't about the grand gestures or material possessions; it was about the simple yet profound act of asking me to share his life, his world, and his heart.

As tears of joy glistened in my eyes, I nodded eagerly, my heart overflowing with love and gratitude. "Yes Rana sa," I whispered, my voice trembling with emotion, "I would be honoured to be a part of your family."

A radiant smile illuminated his face, his eyes sparkling with happiness as he rose to his feet.

"Wait," he murmured, his voice barely more than a whisper, as he disappeared momentarily to one side of the garden. My heart fluttered with anticipation as I watched him, wondering what he could possibly be up to.
