The ring ceremony concluded amidst cheers and laughter, the joyous atmosphere wrapping everyone in its warm embrace. As Rudraksh and Aruhi stood hand in hand, his family bustling around them, a sense of belonging began to take root for Aruhi. This was her new home, her new family.
Tanvi Shekhawat approached them with a serene smile, her presence commanding and comforting. "Neha, Kiara, take Aruhi to her chamber. She must be tired after the long day."
Neha and Kiara nodded enthusiastically, linking their arms with Aruhi's. "Come on, Bhabhi sa," Neha said, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Let's get you settled in."
Aruhi exchanged a brief, reassuring glance with Rudraksh before being led away by her new sisters-in-law. As they made their way through the grand corridors of the Shekhawat palace, Aruhi marveled at the opulence around her. The walls were adorned with intricate tapestries, and the floors were lined with rich, vibrant carpets that muffled their footsteps.
Finally, they arrived at a beautifully carved wooden door. Neha pushed it open, and Aruhi stepped into what would be her new chamber. Her breath caught in her throat as she took in the sight before her. The room was magnificent, a perfect blend of elegance and grandeur with a distinct royal touch.
Richly embroidered drapes framed the large windows, and the furniture was carved from dark, polished wood, exuding a timeless charm. Her eyes traveled to the centerpiece of the room—a large, four-poster bed, its canopy draped with delicate sheer curtains. The bed was decorated with rose petals and soft, silk sheets, a romantic setup for their wedding night.
A deep blush spread across Aruhi’s face. Neha and Kiara noticed her reaction and exchanged knowing glances.
"Looks like someone is shy," Kiara teased, nudging Aruhi playfully.
"Don't worry, Bhabhi sa," Neha added with a wink. "You'll get used to all this soon enough."
They both laughed, their teasing lighthearted and affectionate. Despite her embarrassment, Aruhi couldn't help but smile at their playful banter. It felt good to be surrounded by such warmth and camaraderie.
Neha squeezed Aruhi’s hand gently. "We'll leave you to freshen up and get comfortable. Rudraksh will be here soon."
Kiara gave her a quick hug. "If you need anything, just call me, bhabhi sa."
With that, they left the room, closing the door softly behind them. Aruhi stood there for a moment, taking in the quiet and the beauty of her surroundings. This was it—her new life, her new beginning.
She walked over to the bed, running her fingers lightly over the rose petals, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Sitting down, she allowed herself a moment to absorb everything that had happened. Her family’s farewells, the warm welcome from her new family, and now, this beautiful room that she would share with Rudraksh.
Suddenly, she heard a soft noise behind her, a gentle rustling that broke the silence of the room. Aruhi turned to see an adorable light brown and cream-colored cat peeking out from behind one of the curtains. Its bright eyes met hers, and it meowed softly, as if inviting her to come closer.
Instantly captivated, Aruhi forgot her earlier apprehensions. She slowly approached the little feline, crouching down to its level. "Hello there," she murmured, extending a hand. The cat sniffed her fingers before rubbing its head against her palm, purring contentedly.
The cat then trotted towards the balcony, glancing back at Aruhi as if beckoning her to follow. Intrigued, she complied, trailing after the playful creature. As they reached the balcony, the cat leapt onto the railing, looking out over the expansive gardens below.
