((Y/N)'s POV)

Recently Floyd has been, busy let's say. After Yuu arrived Floyd has been trying to get closer to him, spending more time with Azul and Jade at the same time. I didn't have many actual friends, due to me being a great listener most came to me for depressive rants and then left. This left me with a lot of secrets to keep, and as a result a lot of additional pressure to make sure they stayed secrets. Azul's already tried getting me to spill them but I always refused. Using their own depressive thoughts against them felt so wrong, especially if the only thing they got out of it was endless amounts of work until they leave school. Floyd was never like that, he was always interested in my opinion, eager for me to respond. It was a nice change and what made me fall for him. He asked me out a couple months after we started talking and I agreed with no hesitation. The more I'm left to my thoughts the more depressed they become, Floyd never let that happen. As of recently though it's starting to seem like I was used for information, or for a bit of childish joy before being tossed away. Replaced by a magicless student with a flaming racoon didn't make me feel good about myself at all. I had no reason to hate them at the start, I know it's not their fault but I can't help but feel jealous.

I watched Jade and Floyd talk to Yuu from afar, watching the joy on Floyd's face. I sigh, deciding I'm not hungry anymore. I give the tray of food back to the staff after emptying it in a bin nearby and leave the cafeteria, head hung low and heart heavy. More depressive thoughts swirled in my head as I walk to my next class ridiculously early. Riddle may be proud of me at least, even if I'm in a different dorm. Sitting in my seat I stare out the window, seeing friend groups happy as can be as they sit and talk to each other. I silently wish there was someone like that for me in the future, cause it's clear now that it isn't Floyd like I had hoped. I was too distraught to think rationally, with tests coming up it would be best to use this time to study. Instead I get increasingly more interested in the wooden desk in front of me.

"What's wrong pup, anyone can see that you're upset," Crewel asks me as he walks in with papers. I shake my head, not wanting to answer. He sighs before taking a seat in front of me. "Pup, I've seen how everyone pushes their insecurities onto you and then leaves you to deal with them on your own. I know I'm not a student but maybe that's for the best, I won't judge you for how you feel and could even offer some advice," Crewel says, placing a firm but gentle hand on my shoulder. "Why? Why does no one want to be my friend?" I ask, tears welling up in my eyes as my voice breaks. "Oh pup," Crewel says, pulling me into a hug. I cry into him, finally being able to let out the sadness that has consumed my heart as of recently. "What about Floyd? He seems to like you quite a bit," Crewel says curiously. "He's been more focused on Yuu, with tests coming up he has to study, he has shifts at the Monstro Lounge. Usually we at least speak at lunch but he's been off with Yuu," I cry out quietly and pitifully. "Take the rest of the day off, you need it and I won't allow you to look a mess in my class in front of others," Crewel says firmly, leaving no room for argument.

I nod my head slowly, standing up and beginning my walk to my dorm. Arriving and going to my room instantly, flopping on my bed with no energy or will to move. That night I came to a decision, if Floyd's avoiding me I'll do the same to him.

It's been a couple of weeks of me ignoring Floyd now. He didn't notice at first, being caught up with Yuu but after about two weeks he started becoming confused. I wouldn't answer his greetings in class or the hall. He started becoming angrier, often not showing up to the cafeteria at all. Jade had caught on a couple days after Floyd started throwing odd tantrums, trying to encourage me to talk it out with his brother. Azul even asked me to talk with the eel after Floyd smashed multiple plates. I refused, using the excuse of studying for upcoming exams. After exams I didn't have much of an excuse to use to avoid the trio if necessary, but that doesn't mean I stopped. People who made a deal with Azul for the exams had gotten a sea anemone on top of their head, now being bound to work for him until they left the college. Grim, Ace and Deuce being among them. Yuu had let them receive a punishment for taking the easy way out of studying before helping them. It was weird seeing the normally energetic cat be tired out completely to the point they're vaguely interested in tuna. Yuu had formed a deal with the octopus who caused this, only getting three days to do the task caused him to search for quick and efficient ways of completing it. On the first day they were blocked by the twins in their eel forms, Floyd being angry and uninterested while Jade made sure they stayed away. Apparently Ruggie mentioned to the Prefect that Floyd and I used to be close but something happened. As a result I had three students and a cat in front of my dorm the next day, begging me to distract the twins.

Yuu had finally convinced me to help them after a couple hours of pestering. They had given me a potion that allowed us to breathe underwater for a couple hours. We were to distract the twins while Yuu got the painting Azul asked for. Leona was going to break into the vault and disintegrate the contracts Azul made just in case it didn't work. Swimming on the bottom of the ocean floor without worrying about not being able to breathe was weird to say the least. Very difficult due to the pressure as well but we pushed on. Two long shadows went over us as we got within sight of the Museum, where the painting was. Two eels were now in front of us, one was very irritated while the other was very calm. I knew Jade was panicking a bit while trying to calm Floyd down, with Floyd's mood he could rip someone to shreds and care less about it. I stayed behind Jack and Yuu, slightly scared to approach the very being I had been avoiding.

Jade immediately started taunting Yuu lightly, stating how their plan was thwarted again. Floyd just hovered, arms crossed with a grumpy expression on his face. Jack shot an ice blast at Jade, who narrowly avoided it after realising Floyd wasn't in the mood to use his Signature Spell. Jack, Ace and Deuce chased after Jade with spell after spell, leading him away from the museum. "Leave now Shrimpy, I'm not in the mood to spare you," Floyd said, venom in his tone as he glared dangerously at the powerless human in front of him. Swimming in front of Yuu I see Floyd light up at the sight of me. He gasps before a wide grin spreads on his face. He shoots forward, wrapping his arms and tail around me tightly. "Angel fish! Oh are you gonna talk to me now?" Floyd asks excitedly. I see Yuu start swimming to the museum with Grim, knowing the coast is clear for them now. I sigh, still not ready to talk to the eel that's wrapped himself around me. Floyd hugs me tighter when he hears me sigh, not wanting me to leave. I stay silent. "Angel fiiiiish" please speak to me!" Floyd whines loudly. "Please," Floyd says, hearing little sobs come from his mouth.

I react quickly, wrapping my arms around him and burying my head in his shoulder. Floyd gasps quietly, before giggling uncontrollably. He snuggles into my shoulder, happy that I responded. "Why were you avoiding me?" Floyd asks quietly, a little bit sad. "You were spending so much time with Yuu, you're the only friend I have so I was left alone. Me being alone never works well," I answer quickly. Tears brimming my eyes at the memories plagued by loneliness, seeing the hurt look on my boyfriend's face whenever I ignored him after. "Oh Angelfish, I love you and only you. Azul wanted to make a contract with Yuu to expand the Monstro Lounge to Ramshackle. If it meant hurting my relationship with you or potentially losing it I would've never agreed to it," Floyd says softly. Pulling away briefly to kiss my forehead before burying his head into my shoulder again.

We both look as Yuu swims past us with Grim, who no longer had a sea anemone on his head. They were hauling a picture frame back towards the portal, Yuu acknowledging me with a nod of his head on the way past. "You're not going after them?" I say to Floyd. He shakes his head, burying his face into the crook of my neck and sighing in content. I tuck my head under his slightly, closing my eyes as I lightly doze in my lover's embrace. "I'm glad you two made up," Jade says as he swims up to us. "I'm guessing that means Yuu got the painting, we should head back to the portal," Jade adds. Floyd lightly groans in response before unwrapping me, holding my waist with his hands as the twins zoom to the portal. The speed woke me up with a jolt, Floyd giggling at my shock.

When we got back Azul overblotted, which meant we had to fight him in order to save his life. It was very intense but Floyd was finally in the mood to use his signature spell, only to defend me from any attacks that came my way which I found sweet. When Azul came back to his senses Jade and Floyd had lightly mocked him as a way of scolding the octopus. Even going as far as to point out Azul in the photo Yuu brought. "You owe me and (Y/N) an apology," Floyd tells Azul after the others left. "What?" Azul replies, confused. I look at Floyd curiously, seeing his very serious face was weird. "Because of your request to get closer to Yuu my relationship with (Y/N) suffered, you owe us an apology," Floyd specified, lightly frowning at the male. "Jade snickered at Azul's defeated face. "I apologise for making your relationship suffer," Azul says, though it's bland I accept it. Azul only ever apologises when he means it, even if it doesn't sound like it.

After that I was dragged everywhere by Floyd, he never left me alone unless we were in separate classes or in need of the bathroom. I was glad to have my boyfriend back of course but I didn't realise he could exceed the amount of energy he had before. It left me tired out a lot of the time but Floyd was content with cuddling when that happened.
