(Sirius is definitely gay for Remus and you can't tell me otherwise, even Snape sees it when he catches them together in the Shrieking Shack)

The Return

((Y/N)'s POV)

I was in my home reading when trouble started following me again. Only when Sirius was involved in something would I end up getting caught up in it as well. Causing a lot of trouble for me. However for the past years he's been in Azkaban. Me and Sirius had been dating since fifth year, him and James constantly tried to get me involved with their pranks. I always refused but offered pointers here and there which shut them up about it. They were the perfect duo, practically brothers, so it came as a shock when Remus and I found out that Sirius had betrayed his honorary brother and killed one of his best friends. Neither of us attended the trial, Remus because he refused to look at him while I was heartbroken over the fact I fell in love with a murderer. The worst part is to this day I still love him deeply. I still stayed with Remus when he transformed, there was a potion that could help him but unfortunately it was too expensive and Remus refused to let me buy it for him. So I stayed with him like in the past, me in my raven form perched near him as he stayed in an old shed he set up deep in the woods near his house. I knew about Sirius's escape but I had moved away from my old house, as a result he couldn't find me anywhere.

An owl flew in my window and I looked up on the arm rest of my sofa to look at the bird. I recognised it as Remus's so I untied the letter from the leg. I moved to the kitchen and poured out some bird seed in a small bowl for the owl to have while I read the letter. The letter stated how Harry Potter had been lurking around the corridor with the Marauders map and how he had been following the name "Peter Pettigrew". I froze, if Peter was alive that meant he chose not to show himself, even with Sirius in Azkaban, a place where no witch or wizard has ever escaped from. He was almost guaranteed safety, so why didn't he come out. The story we had been told started to sound more suspicious by the second. I took a piece of paper and a pen out and wrote back to Remus. Stating how I would be accompanying him until we figure out what exactly happened the night James and Lily died. Tying the letter to the owl's foot and letting out the window.

The next day, I packed my things and shrunk my suitcase down so I could hold it in my beak. I apparated into Hogsmead and shifted into my raven form. Quickly picking up my bag and flying towards the school, I perched myself on the window to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom and knocked on the glass. It was very early in the morning and Remus was preparing for the next class when I knocked. He looked up and saw me, rushing over and unlocking the window for me to fly in. "I told Dumbledore you'd be coming to help me prepare for classes during the full moon," Remus said as he shut the window again. I put the small suitcase down on his desk before hopping off, shifting back into a human.

We embraced each other quickly and broke apart when we heard students outside. "I'll stay in my raven form, if you don't mind, I'll flap my wings above someone if they're not doing the work though," I said quickly. Shifting into a raven and flying to the beams above. Remus shook his head with a laugh, talking to others had never been my strong suit, but that didn't mean I couldn't fight back when I wanted to.

(Timeskip)

It was after school now and Remus had brought me some food. At break I decided that I would spend the rest of my day flying around the castle, indulging in memories and the feeling of nostalgia. I had come back in the evening and unpacked into a room beside Remus's, that way we could work together better. "The map's never lied before, if Peter is alive then something's not right about the story we were told," I say to him, picking at my food slightly. Remus sighed, clearly worried over the situation. "Sirius has broken into the castle before but hasn't hurt anybody, he didn't even go into Harry's room so it's clear he's after something else. No one else would believe that but you though, they don't know Sirius as well as we do," Remus replied exasperated. He made a good point though, Sirius may beat around the bush and taunt sometimes but when it comes to something he wants he's straight to the point. "He has to be after Pettigrew, there's something we're missing in the story, a crucial piece of evidence that we've missed," I say, looking out the window at the night sky. Remus agrees and we continue eating in silence before returning to bed.
