Love You Right

17. Chat.

"Jeongguk? Are you free right now?", Taehyung asked timidly while standing in front of Jeongguk's bathroom.

"Uh, yes! I'll be out in a minute, baby."

"Oh it's fine, take your time! I'll wait here.", Taehyung announced and made his way towards Jeongguk's bed. He sat on the very edge of the bed, clutching onto the mattress, he tried to calm himself down, "It's okay, I can do this. Jeongguk would never judge me..."

"So?", Jeongguk said coming out of the shower with his damp hair while only wearing his grey sweatpants without a shirt. Some droplets of water were still dripping down from his wet hair as well as his body. He looked absolutely breathtaking and ethereal.

Taehyung gulped at the sight and immediately shifted his gaze to the ground.

Jeongguk let out a small chuckle and pulled out a white t-shirt from his wardrobe, putting it on all while taking a seat next to Taehyung.

"Can I sit closer?", Jeongguk asked Taehyung, waiting patiently for the elder to reply.

Taehyung looked up at Jeongguk with big eyes, a little bit flustered, he answered,
"Y-yes. Of course you can, Kookie!", he ended with his boxy smile.

A bunny smile made its way on Jeongguk's face and he happily took a seat closer to Taehyung on his bed,
"You wanna talk about something, hun?", he asked, placing his hand gently on Taehyung's.

Taehyung tied his fingers around Jeongguk's, "I know that you won't get mad at me, but- but I actually told the rest of the group 'bout...'bout what I did and why I did it. I told 'em 'bout it last night over call...you were sleeping soundly at that time and I didn't wanna disturb you— I-I am sorry, Kook."

Taehyung looked at Jeongguk with sad eyes, "Are you mad at me?"

Jeongguk gave a small sad smile and began, "Why would I be mad at you, beautiful? I appreciate you for not disturbing my sleep, but even if you had disturbed me, I would appreciate you still. It doesn't matter to me if you tell me anything first or last, the thing that matters is that you at least thought of telling me. You at least trust me enough to share your vulnerable thoughts with me, and I'm more than happy knowing just that. I love you and forever will, I wanna protect you from all the harm. And it's completely up to you to decide who you trust, baby. I'm not mad at you, I love you.",

he kissed Taehyung's forehead and smiled cutely at him, cupping his face, he said,"Now, would you like to share, cupcake?"

Taehyung nodded his head, "You're so sweet. I love you so much.

And that's all, I didn't wanna bother y'all and- and that's why", he sniffled and Jeongguk wiped his tears, "that's why I did it. I'm sorry.", and with that Taehyung broke down into tears, by now he was full on sobbing which hurted Jeongguk's pure heart.

"Shhh, it's fine, my love. I'm here now... we're all here for you, my pretty baby. It's okay now, it will be okay from now on. I won't let anything like that happen to you again, I promise."

He engulfed Taehyung into a soothing hug, "I love you, Taehyung. Please don't cry, it hurts my heart to see you cry.", he kissed the top of Taehyung's head and patted his head softly.

"I love you, Jeongguk. I really do."
