Chapter Five Knowing Of Whats To Come

           "I am so sorry." She says looking down with tears in her eyes. "When the claw cut you it had my blood with it... my DNA then got passed to you. Not a lot.... But enough." Leah's voice almost comes out as nothing as she just cried.

          "Am I going to become a werewolf?" I ask my voice shaken. Also confused because I feel no different.

          "No, not fully, you will not turn into a wolf. We don't think. But you will have the; speed, strength, sight, sound, you will never feel cold again. We don't funny know what else could happen. You feel fine now but, when it becomes the full moon tonight you change. It may not be painful cause you are not turning into a full wolf. But it still will hurt. You won't be about to live a 100% normal life." Leah's words wash over me, I listen, but still I am in shock. I feel her hands holding mine and I can see they tears fall from her cheeks, I remove one of my hands from hers and wipe her cheek.

         "100% normal is completely over rated. Plus who says I was normal to begin with." I say trying to brighten up the situation. I never really belonged with my mother I was never what she wanted me to be. My father left and I never really knew him. Only a hand full of memories. For a moment Leah smiles at me slightly.

       "You can't stay with your family." She finally says her smile drops.

       "Where will I stay?" I ask, starting to worry whether I need to run away and end up being homeless.

      "You will be staying with us dear, you will be a part of this pack." Leah's mother walks in with some cloths and the basket for grandma. "These are for you." She says. She then puts her hand on my cheek and kisses my head. "Welcome to the family dear. And you can call me Luna or Mam. Seeing you two are mates now."

     "Thank you both so much." I say taking the clothes. "Will I be able to go see my grandmother before dark? She is old and needs the basket." I ask starting to worry about her. They both look at each other than nod their heads.

     "Leah will come with you." Luna says and starts to leave.

    "Wait what did you mean by mates?" I ask, Leah looks down and Luna laughs and smiles knowingly then leaves. I look back at Leah who shakes her head her cheeks a little red from blushing.

    "Tell you later, now get change we better go if we want to be back before dark." She says and leaves the room leaving me really confused.
