The Girl Who Ran With The Wolves

Parents, Love And Power

       "We have always been close with you sweetie." I hear a woman's voice from behind me, I stood up and spun around, there I saw, I tall woman with dark olive skin, long black wavy hair, forest green eyes in a golden dress that truly made her look like a goddess, stood in arm with a tall pale man with short black hair that was longish slicked back, he wore a suit and tie he also had a cloak like Albus. His eyes were eyes shone with tears pooling in them.

       "Mum.... Dad!" I cried tears of my own came to my eyes, I ran over to them and hug them. They both held me tight and spoke sweet kind words but also in our embrace we cried.

       "Oh how we love you our little Melody." My dad spoke kissing my head. "You have grown into such a beautiful young lady, I am sorry we were not there physically." They both had turns of kissing my head and holding me close to them, I suddenly pull away, I step away and pull Leah towards us.

       "Mum, dad this is Leah, she's my mate." I say I can't help but smile, my parent's eyes widen but smiled, Leah tried to stand tall and look strong but I could tell she was nerves, she held out her hand to shake my dad's hand.

       "You looking after my daughter? Protect her?" He asks total seriousness.

        "Of cause! With my life." Leah said in a heartbeat, dad let out a beaming smile, he took her hand and pulled her in for a hug.

       "I am pretty sure me being half Wood Goddess and half wizard, I can look after myself. Also I do have wolf blood!!" I speak out, making mum chuckle. Leah pulled me to her side wrapping her arm around me.

      "We know you can dear mate, but you father wants to know no matter what, I will still be there, standing by your side, no matter how crazy it gets, that I will make sure you are safe that your needs and wants are met. Which is what you would do for me, we are a team." Leah says kissing my temple, she always knows what to say and now to make me feel special and loved, I don't know how I would have gotten here where I am without her. I look at my parents and they look at us in awe. I can't believe that I am here with my parents who love me and a girl I am going to spend the rest of my life with. My mother took my hand.

       "My goddess child, we are so proud of you, though, now that your powers are going to heighten, you will become even more powerful which will bring responsibility and danger. But you won't be doing this alone." She spoke, a gust of wind grew and spiralled around us. "Once I break your father' spell you will receive the powers you inherit from the both of us." My mother's eye shone golden with green flecks in them, the wind grew, Leah stepped aside along with my father, my mum placed her hands on my heart and forehead, speaking ancient words that only the trees would remember. I take need breaths, as I feel the waves over power wash over me, a sudden feeling of chains breaking in both my heart and mind a tsunami of boiling laver poured from within me, I screamed but the wind drowned it out. I didn't fight the power and pain that filled me, I accept it, this is my right, this is my destine inheritance, this is my power.
