Ashes

From dust to dust, we all shall turn to ash
In life's relentless march, we all succumb
To fate's embrace, where nothing ever lasts
But in our hearts, the memories still hum

The remnants of our dreams and love now gone
Are carried by the wind, scattered and free
Yet in the ashes, new life will be drawn
As nature's cycle whispers poetry

The embers of our hopes still softly glow
In the twilight of the fading light
A testament to all we used to know
And in the darkness, they still burn so bright

So let us not lament what has been lost
For in the ashes, new beginnings cross.
