Yuqi's POV

I didn't see Soyeon today at my house as we got ready for an audition. I wanted to try acting, it was fun acting for my music videos but I wanted to actually try acting in a literal drama or movie. I hope that it will be fun.

I didn't sleep well the last few nights. I was afraid to have that nightmare again, but yet at the same time, I wanted to finish the dream, see how everything ends.

"Hey, Yuqi, I found you a new assistant. Since Soyeon was just there for the press to see." Brenda says as the makeup artists that were hired left my apartment and we were waiting for the driver. "She'll be there at the set. Her name's Gwen. And from what I see, the kid's really organised, look at the new schedule that she made!" Brenda was clearly happy for her selection of a good assistant for me.

I had a really bad feeling about this Gwen, and my sixth sense tells me that there is a really high chance that this Gwen is the same one as the one in my dreams. It was almost the dream was there to tell me that this Gwen will be the end of me, literally.

"Am I still supposed to have sessions with Dr. Jeon?" I ask Brenda.

"Gimme a mo'..." She says as she toggles out my schedule. "Yes. Turns out Mr. Daniel wants to go for 3 months. Seems like he wants you to be constantly at a psychologist's place so that he can invoke one of the terms in the contract on you."

"Keep that information from Gwen. I will go myself. We can't trust her yet." I say, who knows what this Gwen woman would do if she finds out that I've been seeing a psychiatrist regularly. Any leakage to the press would make everything harder to handle, especially when my career is still going uphill. And if she exploits this point... I really don't want my nightmare to come through.

I saw the reflection of Brenda in the mirror in front of me as she shot me a concerned look. "Can't hurt to be careful." I replied, nonchalantly.

"You're lying. For what reason I don't know, but do tell me if you need any help." Brenda gave me a pat on my back as her phone rang. She exchanged a few sentences with the person on the other side of the line and hung up. "Let's go, the car is here."

I met Gwen on set, she was the person that Soyeon knocked into a few days ago and also the Gwen from my nightmares. I seriously feel that I was using all my acting skills when I was talking to Gwen. I probably will be able to get the role that I'm auditioning for.

When it was my time to audition, I was brought into a room where there were cameras in different angles all facing the set in the middle of the room. The director was sitting in front of a monitor with some of the investors and Netflix higher-ups.

I just went and stood in the very middle. A person, presumably the assistant of the director, handed me a script. "You have 5 minutes to read the script and get your feelings ready." The director says. I took a quick scan of the script and gave a dry laugh internally. It was literally how I felt right now. They paired me up with another actress so that we can act out the scene together.

Third Person POV - in the scene Yuqi was given

"All units ready. 3... 2... 1... Action!" The director shouted.

Two women we sitting on opposite ends of the couch, they seem to be close, but there also seems to be something between them...

"So what do you feel about me right now? What are we?" The woman on the left (the other actress) starts, her voice tired.

"..."

"Ha." She let out a dry laugh. "Are you just going to keep quiet like that? As I expected... you are always like that... never speaking anything out."

"..."

"Oh, fuck it! Can't you just say something?! I'm really tired of your silence. Your lack of care." The woman seemed really frustrated.

"I'm really sorry if my feelings were conveyed the wrong way." The other says, her voice absolutely calm, almost unfeeling. "At this very moment, we are nothing more than just friends."

"Just friends..." The woman scoffs. "Alright, I'm sorry that I got a little emotional. As a friend, I will inform you that my parents wants me to get a boyfriend soon. And uh, maybe you can introduce me to some men." She was more quiet and seemingly more calm.

"I thought you said that you were a lesbian?"

"I'm bi, not lesbian, there's a difference."

"Alright, that's up to you anyways."

"Then I think we're done here today." The woman stands up and picks up her things.

"Bye."

"Bye."

The woman that was still sitting down on the couch waited for the other to leave and the door to close before she buried her face in her hands. Sounds of sobbing came from the woman as her body was shaking slightly. It was almost like all the feelings that she had were all poured out, all at once, the pain, the control, and the love.

"Cut!" The director says, his voice was nearly unreadable, but the expression on his face was excited, almost like he had found a gem and wanted to show it off.

Yuqi straightened up her back and took some tissues from the table. Only she knew that she cried because of what she felt for her, because of their situation between them right now, because for the first time in her life, the confident woman was nervous and scared.

"That was really good Yuqi." The director commended, nodding his head a little. Yuqi stands up and thanks the director with a smile. It was highly likely that she will get the role.

Unbeknownst to Yuqi, Gwen was watching the whole audition too. She scoffed when she saw Yuqi coming out of character quickly. "Such an actress..." She mumbled, the displeasure clear in her tone.
