Soyeon's POV
I was definitely drunk. I can't believe that I just kissed Yuqi. I'm sure that she left so hurriedly not iust because of the phone call, but also because I kissed her and she didn't like that. God! Why?
"Miss? Miss!" The driver called out to me. "Sorry." I mumbled as I thanked the driver and opened the car door. If I didn't kiss her, maybe we can still be friends.
I wasn't going anywhere for the holidays and Yuqi probably wouldn't want to let me go over to her house during the holidays. It was just going to be me, and only me since the others are going back to their hometowns and visit their parents.
Soyeon
sorry that I left early
im back at my dorm dont worryI quickly typed in the chat and unlocked the door into the dorm room. It was dark and empty. My room mates have already packed and left the school by now, maybe except for Sarah but she lives near BH, she just wants to go home with her parents for a few days before coming back. I lay down on my bed.
Flashes of what happened at the beach flashed through my head. Her lips tasted like the cranberry juice she drank before we played truth or dare. I touched my own lips unconsciously. Please tell me she can forget about what happened and we can just be friends again. The same words played in my head for what felt like hours.
My phone vibrated a few times and I saw Yuqi's messages.
Yuqi
Im sorry that i left the beach hurriedly just now
ive got something to attend to
if you want, i can forget about tonight but i have to say that ill be busy with some... personal things this summer
sorryWhat does she mean? Is she upset? I slapped one hand on my forehead and the other back down on the bed. My phone bounced a little from the force.
Third Person POV
Yuqi and Soyeon didn't make contact for the rest of the holidays. Soyeon holed back up into her books and closed the little door in her heart that Yuqi had opened up by a little. Yuqi was busy, going from one state to another. She had other plans or else she wouldn't have came to BHU for just a little more than one and a half months even though she was doing well in the University of Peking.
When the start of the new semester started to get closer, the rest of the group also made their way back to school to put their things in newly-assigned dorms. Soojin and Soyeon were assigned to the same dorm. However, there was nothing about Yuqi, like as if she vanished.
Soyeon eventually got over Yuqi and just put her memory in a small place in her heart, like someone she loved before actually moving on with her life. And of course, Minnie and Miyeon got together, so Soyeon definitely owes Yuqi 20 and maybe that'll make them meet again in the future? Fate is a curious thing.
2 years passed by quickly in a flash, Minnie and Miyeon have both gotten jobs at prestigious companies the previous year with their degrees and Soojin was going to further her studies (Soyeon, Minnie and Miyeon agrees it is for Shuhua). Soyeon had just graduated with a bachelor degree in psychology. She got an internship at a private psychology company in New York.
The 5 girls kept in touch even though there were very few occasions where they could meet up since they were scattered all across the states. No one could contact Yuqi as she was gone and Soyeon was the last one that had seen her. Yuqi changed her phone number after a few days so she became uncontactable.
Soyeon worked really hard at the company and earned a spot as an official psychology consult. (A/N: I have no idea how psychology companies work)
5 years since the last time the group had seen Yuqi, Soyeon was doing really well in the company and she managed to help a lot of patients so she was given her own office and assitants to help her with her work.
"Miss Jeon?" One of her students knocked on the door of her office.
"Come in." Soyeon replied without looking up, her eyes still trained on the file of one patient. This particular patient had been with her for half a year and there seems to be very little improvement in his condition.
The student slid another file in front her, covering over the file she was looking at. "Miss Jeon, someone at the front desk took a call and this is what she recorded after someone called to ask for a reservation."
Soyeon picked up the file and flipped it open. A few words were written down to decribe what the patient had asked about.

"Don told Boss about it. And Boss asked him to give the case to you." The student replied.
"Who's this patient?" Soyeon asked as she placed the file aside.
"I dunno, but she's coming this Thursday at 2pm. I swear that they purposely gave us this time to cut our lunch break short." The student scrunched up his face.
"It's okay. Thanks." Soyeon looked up from the file for the first time since the student walked in. Soyeon had changed so much over the years. She had tied her hair up in a lose bun and she was wearing dark red lipstick, with a pair of golden-framed, round glassess. Her white doctor's coat covered a black long-sleeved, button-up shirt with pair of long white pants.
She couldn't help but feel excited for the new patient on Thursday. She loved meeting new patients, maybe she can have some similarities with other patients and Soyeon could prove some theories she had. It was still Monday. 3 days. Soyeon thought as she packed her things and left the office for the day.
