10. THE FLASHBACK

The next morning Roy woke up to a bad news. The evidence was stolen!!!! The police shown him a footage where a man in black mask took away the evidence. Who was that anonymous person? Roy couldn't recognize him. But Jenny told to Roy slowly "Roy, I recognize him those cunning eyes. I've definitely seen him somewhere. Could it be Jalansh?" Roy said "But Jenny, as long as I can remember, my father had no connection with hum. But there could be a chance." But why would he team up with Roy's father?

         One day Lucas came to London to visit his relatives. Before he came, Roy called Lucas and Emma to tell about Jennifer and how he has fallen in love with her. He sent them her pic. Lucas was standing near a bus stop waiting for someone. He saw a boy hitting a girl and demanding her money. It was none other than Jalansh. Jalansh blackmailed Jenny for money. Lucas recognized hid sister-in-law. He went and defended her. He punched Jalansh and asked him to leave her alone. But Jalansh shouted at Lucas "Hey man! Who the hell are you? Just mind your business. She is my girlfriend. I have every right on her!!!" Lucas looked at him with rage in his eyes and said "You only want to use her, right? She is not a property or prize or game to be controlled.  Don't you have basic humanity?" Jalansh went near Jenny and pulled her by her hand. But Lucas kicked him and sent him away. She was shivering in fear. Lucas went near her and said "Miss, he is toxic and only wants your money and body. You need to come out of it. If you need any help, I will help you." So Lucas helped Jennifer to come out of the relationship. Even our Lucas was wearing mask so she didn't know how he looked🤦‍♀️.
          Jalansh already had some connection with Roy's father by then. He knew it was Lucas that was helping Jenny. He could recognize those eyes and voice. Jalansh and Roy's father were involved in some illegal activities like gambling, smuggling, drugs, alcohol and many more. So they were partners in crime. Jalansh wanted to take revenge on Lucas for what he has done. After few years, Roy's father called Jalansh to discuss about killing Lucas. So he went to discuss about it. Jalansh was given alcohol as a treat. He dozed off due to drinking too much alcohol. Roy's father took the opportunity, took Jalansh's car and did the accident. Jalansh never knew about this plan!!!! So if everything comes out Jalansh is also going to be in trouble for this accident and the other crimes he committed. That's why he stole the evidence. Such a twist right 🤯😵‍💫🤯😵‍💫!!!!!

     Roy's mind so blank. His one and only opportunity to show his father as a criminal was just lost like that. That's when a wonderful idea struck his mind. He knew a friend whose father was a detective.
              POV: JENNIFER
Roy told this idea to me. I asked him to call his friend immediately. I was getting ready in the evening for the discussion when the doorbell rang. Roy welcomed his friend. I immediately came outside to see Roy and George!!!! Why did George come? So Roy and George are friends? Roy knew that I loved George before I loved him. I went and sat on another sofa. I was silent during the whole discussion. Roy was happy. I was happy seeing him smile but I was also angry on him. Roy noticed that I was kinda frustrated. After George left, Roy tried to talk to me. But I said indirectly to him through Emma "Do you want me to eat or leave?" Roy didn't speak a word after that. Mom-in-law noticed and asked me "Honey, what happened? Did my son hurt you? You know that you can share anything with me, right?" I said "It's better of your son says it you mom-in-law" in a polite tone. After saying that I left from there and went to Emma's room. I don't know what they both discussed but I fell asleep slowly.
         The next day, Emma came and woke me up saying "Sis-in-law, get ready quickly. It's our relatives wedding. It is a beach wedding. I am so excited!!!!" I said "But a last minute wedding?" Emma said "Ya! We got a call this morning. Hurry up!" I didn't know what to wear. Then I got an idea. I draped a saree to the wedding.

We reached the venue. It was near a beach.

Such a romantic view 😍. My mind was drifting somewhere when Roy came and sat beside and said sorry but I just walked away from there. By then the wedding came to an end and the bride was ready to throw the bouquet. I was standing somewhere else, when it came and landed in my hands. Suddenly "Dandelions(slowed+reverb)" was playing. Everyone stood in a circle and Roy stood on one knelt down on one knee and said "My queen, I am really sorry. I am sorry that I didn't inform you about it. I needed his help so badly. No matter what comes between us, my ocean of love never stops flowing on you. I am so sorry darling." He looked at me with puppy eyes. I melted. He got up and kissed me on the forehead. Everyone said "Such a cute couple. God bless you both. We all are waiting for your wedding, guys." I smiled at their words.
            After that everyone went to have lunch. Roy cane from behind and pinched my waist. I couldn't even react in public. This boy has no sense of time. When no one was looking I pulled him by his tie and started to speak by keeping my lips near his lips and said "You want to tease me, right? Now take this." I kissed him on his adam's apple and immediately ran to Roy's mom. He didn't even have enough time to react 😜.

I saw George running in a distance. He seems like he is in tension. He went straight to Roy saying "Man, we found where the evidence is. It is with someone your father knows. I think they will destroy it anytime now. We need to get it before it's destroyed." I was listening to all of this in distance. I said "Roy, I will also come with you." But Roy said "I need you to be with the family now, as it is too dangerous. Because my father or anyone related to him can come and attack you all. I called the police to hive you all protection. If there is anu emergency call this number and on the GPS tracker. Be careful. I'll be back soon."
         I couldn't let him go but it's for our safety. I hope that he will be safe. Roy and George went away. We were getting ready to go to our home when some kind of smoke was getting released into air. By then everyone went into the car expect me. I said to them "Go home. I'll come on a taxi. Because the car is full." I gave them the emergency contacts ans was waiting for the taxi. Slowly I felt drowsy and fell down hard. And everything blacked out. What just happened?........
