18. The weight of Silence

"So, Taeminie, are you excited for your football match on Friday?" Jungkook asked breaking the silence on the table

"Yeah, I can't wait! I've been practicing really hard," Taemin said, showing his excitement.

"That's my boy! You're going to ace it out there on the field" JK said, encouraging other

"We'll be cheering for you, won't we, Tae?" Jimin said, bringing other into the conversation when he noticed taehyung was too quiet.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, of course" taehyung said, he was too distracted to be a part of the conversation

"Hey, Tae, everything alright?" JK asked when he noticed Taehyung's distraction as well

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just got a lot on my mind." Taehyung said with a forced smile

"You sure"? JK asked again

" Yeah, yeah, don't worry about me. Let's talk about something else" taehyung brushes it off, not liking being the center of attention

"So, Dad, are you coming to watch my match?" Taemin asked nth time from his dad,

"Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world! I'll be there cheering you on, buddy" taehyung said, cheering for his son

"You better not embarrass him by yelling too loudly, jimine," JK said, teasing the other

"Hey, I'll be the proudest dad out there, no doubt about it," jimin said while chuckling

"It's going to be a great day. We'll all be there to support you, Taemin" taehyung said, supporting his little tiger

"Thanks, Dad and Appa. And thanks, kookie. You guys are the best!" Taemin said

"That's what family is for, right?" JK said, grinning while keeping his eyes on jimin

"Absolutely. We're a team, through thick and thin" jimin said, looking at taehyung, oblivious to the pair of eyes on him

"Yeah, we are". Taehyung smiled softly while noticing the eyes of JK on jimin and he didn't like that much

The dinner table is filled with laughter and warmth as they continue to share their love and support for each other, despite the underlying tension that Taehyung is trying to hide.

After dinner, Taehyung went to his room feeling troubled. Even though his family tried to talk to him, he still felt distant and sad. He felt guilty for not joining in the conversation and for pretending everything was okay when it wasn't.

Taehyung also noticed some strange tension on the dining table, which made him feel even more uneasy. He usually picks up on these things easily.

Alone in his room, Taehyung realized he had built walls around himself to hide his feelings. He wanted to talk to someone, to share what he was going through, but he was scared of being vulnerable.

As the night went on, Taehyung couldn't sleep. He knew he needed help, but he wasn't sure how to ask for it. He felt lost and unsure about what to do next.

After cleaning the kitchen, sending off JK, and putting Taemin to sleep, jimin came back to the room late at night, he was exhausted, but still wanted to talk to taehyung but when he came into the room he saw the other was already sleeping, he looks so adorable while sleeping, cheeks squashing on the pillow, making him look like an adorable kid.

Jimin smiled at the sight and thought not to talk with him so as not to disturb other's sleep.

He went to the restroom, changed into his pajamas, and did some skin care, he loves to do skin care and take good care of himself. He loves the fact that no matter in which state he is, taehyung always loves him.
