My steps hurried towards the straight path, I looked back to check if any one was following me. I cannot be caught here. A giggle escaped my lips when I saw my friend searching for me, I ran even faster.

But due to constantly looking back, I stumbled over something, what is a wall doing here in the middle of the route? It cannot be a person, it was quite hard and my head hurts now.

I rubbed my face as I tried to slump down the pain or get used to it and finally looked in front of me to see a tall man. Only his chest came in front of my eyes. Huh? Who is this? Before I could see his face I heard the voice of one of my friends from behind me. Shit. I corrected the fabric over my head immediately.

"Finally found you Chandra, you are so easy to catch" my friend yelled from a distance and I pouted, not so easily. I was in a hurry so I should apologize.

"I am sorry, I wasn't paying attention. I hope you aren't hurt" I said to him turning around without seeing his face. I don't have time for this stuff. I hurried over to her, my hands fisted my lehenga skirt.

I reached towards her and after catching my breath, I stopped. "Do you know him?" is the first thing she asked to which I instantly shook my head.

Har baar mei hi pakdi jati hu (Why am I the one who is always caught).
This is the hundredth time I lost and I do not like any bit of it. Now I will have to do all her work with mine included.

I moved to go at her house, it was of my Guruji's. Guruji was her father and my father's friend so I was allowed to study and will soon complete my education.

We all chatted and after a while I thought if returning home or else Maa will eat me alive. I cannot be late.

"Aagai Maharani bohot kaam tha na bahar ki ghar ka kaam hi bhul gai"(Finally you came Miss Queen, you are so busy that you forgot your work at home).

Maa said to me bitterly to which I tilted my head downwards and prepared myself for more taunts coming my way.

"You are a girl but still you raom outside all the time at your age"
She said and I was just standing there listening to her taunts as this was very normal for me. This is her way of loving me.

"Enough she is on time and I have given her permission to roam around, if you have a problem then talk to me rather than taunting my Gudiya"
My father said coming inside the house and i immediately went to hug him.

He patted my head and I was snuggling to his chest while controlling my tears.

"Khud hi sambhalo toh apni gudiya ko mere sar kyu thop diya"(So manage her yourself, why do I have to look after her) Maa said angered and I started crying in my father's arms.
